As explained in the Team-by-Team Thread, I am planning on making a thread every three days for a different team. The first few posts will be questions, requests for predictions, etc. There will be a poll unless I don't feel like making one. Some teams are less interesting than others.

Please participate in posting articles, predictions, etc.

So far:

Peyton Manning will...

Throw for _____ yards.
Throw __ touchdowns.
Throw __ interceptions.
Rush for ___ yards and _ touchdowns.
Complete ____% of his passes.

The leading receiver (any position) will be: ___________. Yards? _____ TDs caught? __

The leading running back will be: ___________________. Yards? Rushing TDs.

Defensive Yards Allowed: ____ per game.
Defensive Points Allowed: ____ per game.
Interceptions: ___

Team Record: ___-__

At Seattle: W/L
At New England: W/L

Some big free agents who have been signed so far are T.J. Ward, DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and Emmanuel Sanders. Who will pay off? Who won't? (Injury, performance, etc.)

Biggest surprise?

At 8 games, will Manning be ahead of any of last year's statistics (other than age and size of forehead ;) )?

If he wins the SB, will he call it quits? (The all-time record stats are attainable this or next year.)

This team probably has the biggest spread of wins in the NFL. With Von Miller and Peyton Manning, its possible they go 14-2 and win the Super Bowl. If Peyton gets hurt or loses arm strength or has issues and has to play the schedule they have to play, I could see things going south in a big hurry.

Denver is going to go 15-1 this year (hopefully that one loss is against Seattle). That offense is going to be just as prolific and the defense on paper is a lot better. Also with a healthy Clady to protect Peyton as well.

On paper the Bronco's look better, the one thing to worry about is their HOF QB. He played great last year, but I noticed in the SB that he doesn't seem to have the arm strength he once did.

Peyton Manning will...

Throw for __5100___ yards.
Throw _46_ touchdowns.
Throw _7_ interceptions.
Rush for __2_ yards and _0 touchdowns.
Complete __68__% of his passes.

The leading receiver (any position) will be: _____D. Thomas______. Yards? __1500___ TDs caught? _15_

The leading running back will be: ______Montee Ball_____________. Yards? 1300 Rushing TDs. 12

Defensive Yards Allowed: __300__ per game.
Defensive Points Allowed: __21__ per game.
Interceptions: _22__

Team Record: _12__-_4_

At Seattle: W/L Win
At New England: W/L Loss

Some big free agents who have been signed so far are T.J. Ward, DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and Emmanuel Sanders. Who will pay off? Who won't? (Injury, performance, etc.)

I think all of them will pay off pretty well. Ward will out perform his contract by quite a bit while the others will play about what is expected.

Biggest surprise? Broncos defense becomes top 5 this year

At 8 games, will Manning be ahead of any of last year's statistics (other than age and size of forehead ;) )?

He will be behind on almost all statistics but it will be because the team will have a bigger emphasis towards the run game making his need to throw so much less

If he wins the SB, will he call it quits? (The all-time record stats are attainable this or next year.)

He would be willing to go at least 1 more year. I actually think he has 3 seasons left. D. Thomas said that Manning's arm is stronger this year compared to last and has actually dropped a few as he didn't expect them to get to him so quickly.

Peyton Manning will...

Throw for 5,000 yards.
Throw 48 touchdowns.
Throw 12 interceptions.
Rush for -18 yards and 0 touchdowns.
Complete 67% of his passes.

The leading receiver (any position) will be: DeMaryius Thomas. Yards? 1,350 TDs caught? 13

The leading running back will be: Montee Ball. Yards: 1,100 Rushing TDs: 12

Defensive Yards Allowed: 310 per game.
Defensive Points Allowed: 22 per game.
Interceptions: 18

Team Record: 11- 5

At Seattle: Loss
At New England: Win

Some big free agents who have been signed so far are T.J. Ward, DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and Emmanuel Sanders. Who will pay off? Who won't? (Injury, performance, etc.) All the new free agents will contribute commensurate to their contracts. One of them will miss six games due to injury. If I had to predict who, I would say Talib. DeMarcus Ware is going to have a bounce back season with Von Miller on the opposite side. Emmanuel Sanders will begin to replace Wes Welker in the slot as Cody Latimer comes up to speed

Biggest surprise? With a renewed emphasis on the running game, Denver picks up a veteran running back who runs for nearly 800 yards as the number 2 behind Ball.

At 8 games, will Manning be ahead of any of last year's statistics (other than age and size of forehead ;) )? Nope.

If he wins the SB, will he call it quits? (The all-time record stats are attainable this or next year.) Manning has been steadfast and consistent in his stance on his career. If he's still able to play at a high level and contribute, he'll play. Minimally, he will finish out his original 5 year contract. A Superbowl victory would simply be icing on the cake.

The Broncos will win the AFC for a 2nd year in a row but it will be much more challenging to do so. Both the AFC West and the NFC West are all going to beat each other up throughout the season. Denver's defense will be much improved. For that reason and being a more battle tested squad than last year, the Broncos will get over the hump and win the Superbowl.

Hate to say it - but I think Broncos win the SB, and Peyton retires.

Peyton Manning will...

Throw for 4812 yards.
Throw 39 touchdowns.
Throw 10 interceptions.
Rush for -19 yards and 0 touchdowns.
Complete 67.3% of his passes.

The leading receiver (any position) will be: Demaryius Thomas. Yards? 1209 TDs caught? 13

The leading running back will be: Montee Ball. Yards? 1253 Rushing TDs. 14

Defensive Yards Allowed: 315 per game.
Defensive Points Allowed: 20 per game.
Interceptions: 18

Team Record: 13-3

At Seattle: L, but it will be close
At New England: W, again close

Some big free agents who have been signed so far are T.J. Ward, DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and Emmanuel Sanders. Who will pay off? Who won't? (Injury, performance, etc.) I think they'll all pay off

Biggest surprise? The Broncos offense will run the ball a lot more, and they'll be effective doing it. Montee Ball has a very good season.

At 8 games, will Manning be ahead of any of last year's statistics (other than age and size of forehead ;) )? No because the Broncos won't be passing as much

If he wins the SB, will he call it quits? (The all-time record stats are attainable this or next year.) As long as he's still healthy and playing at a high level he'll return, regardless of the outcome of the Super Bowl

Imo, Peyton isn't a "retire on top" kind of player. He is a "retire when the coach tells you that you can't play any more" kind of player. They are going to have to rip the football from his hands to get him to retire

Denver is going to go 15-1 this year (hopefully that one loss is against Seattle). That offense is going to be just as prolific and the defense on paper is a lot better. Also with a healthy Clady to protect Peyton as well.

I would agree with you if this was their 2014 team playing the 2013 schedule. But they got to play the entire NFC west this year. Two of any of their losses this year will be delivered by the NFC west.

I'm going to call 12-4 for them right now and 1 of those losses will be @Seattle. Their schedule is way more challenging than 2013. Are they one of the top 5 teams to win a SB this year? Absolutely as long as Payton is healthy.

Interesting that Broncos fan voted for SB winner, but nobody is accusing them of being homers.

Yah but he doesn't need it AS much. He's a quick passer. Yah he goes deep too, but his arm throwing motion always favored a quick release and that's why he was so successful. Unfortunately that just played RIGHT into Seattle's strength. With all the press and mid field zone they play, it's tough to do a lot of 5 yard routes. Seattle is also very good at no YAC and amazing tackles, so.... yah.

Haha that is funny. I do think the odds favor the broncos to at least make the Super Bowl as most would agree probably 7 of the top 10 teams are in the NFC making it that much harder to even just make the Super Bowl for Seattle. Plus you have to look at the Seattle thread and just see it was dominated by Seattle fans to the point it didn't even matter to have a poll as the vote was just so one-sided.

Seahawks are Vegas odds on favorite to win the SB. I think they take all the factors in consideration. Yet Seahawk posters are homers and Bronco fans are just being real?

Not saying calling you guys homers is right as you have every right to think your team has a great chance. Because there are so many of you and 49er fans of course the whole homer thing is going to come up. Also Vegas factors in who is going to pay money and most look at Seattle as the sexy bet right now. Vegas could care less about anything other than getting people to bet

That's not true. Not every line brings an even split. Vegas wants the lowest payout on possible, they care. If they didn't they wouldn't move lines.
