McGwire still won't talk to Canseco because of "the book"...which turned out to be quite truthful.
I think Jose is basically an ass and proves it every day of his life, but I guess Mark didn't like having his dirty laundry aired, even though it was really very dirty (even crap stained)...that book coming out was a great thing for baseball, IMHO, helped get the problem at least a bit under control.

no, he had already walked... well should have... Then another pitch thrown, fouled off... then another pitch which was a strike that he got called out on strikes. when the count was 4-2 the pitch before. NO one caught it, not even the announcers. and no one in the stadium did either.

Francoeur's a good dude for sure. Watched him interacting with fans in RF at Mets game at Petco one Sunday afternoon. Some drunk nerd was hanging over the wall saying "Hey Jeff, I met you after a Braves game one time about 10 yrs ago. You remember me?" Francoeur turns around and smiles at him and says "Hey man, I remember you. How you doing?" Not many as nice as him.
