The COWBOY'S feelings about running backs is kind of a mystery.
Jerry didn't want to pay EMMITT
He pays 45 million to Marion Barber and then picks Felix Jones in the next draft.
He won't pay Demarco Murray to stay.
He signs Darren McFadden.
He resigns our 3rd down specialist
He signs Alfred Morris.
And now who ever drafts Ezekiel Elliot.

But our offense hasn't been the problem...only keeping Romo healthy

I have no problem with the pick on face value. EE should make the run game great. He will be an impact player in game one.

But at what point does our GM add athletes to the defense?
got Lee......but he tends to get hurt a lot
got Byron Jones.......good safety/CB
and then what?

And I realize the draft isn't over. But I don't get this...
If it was Jerry Jones doing the drafting .......I understand.......but I don't think it was.

It was going to be Elliot or Ramsey... I understand the Zeke pick. I loved the way McFadden played last season but he can't be trusted with his injury reputation.

We have 3 good not great corners in Scandrick, Carr, and Claiborne. The biggest issue we all have with these guys is they don't create turnovers... and guess what, neither does Ramsey. He had 3 INTS his entire college career including 0 last year.

We really got to trade one of these RB's though right? Could any of them bring anything?

I always liked what Jimmy did in drafting....He drafted for athletic ability and speed...especially defensively, the front seven.
Even if they weren't the best players at their positions in the league.....speed makes up for a lot.....

on Today's COWBOYS
A perfect example is Sean Lee......amazing athletic ability and speed.

So probably a time share for Elliot and McFadden with Morris maybe getting a few snaps? With both Elliot and McFadden being good pass catchers, how do you get Dunbar in there? Kid was off to a great start last season too.

great question....I'd think Morris moreso than mcfadden

Wonder if anyone would have interest in Dunbar... although he is probably the only one out of all of them that would be worth a crap on special teams.

I have a feeling McFadden will be granted his release. JMHO. We don't have room for DMC with Elliot in the backfield. I think Morris will be his primary backup, and some combination of Dunbar/FA will be an occasional 3rd down passing threat.

Cutting DMC would save Dallas about $2m. With McFadden coming of possibly his best season, certainly one of his two best, and still being on the right side of 30, now may be the time for him to seek a multi year deal with some guaranteed money. Never know when the wheels are going to fall off this guy.

Those corners are not good. They are below average and scadrick is coming off major knee surgery. 4 of our six corners are on one year deals. Ramsey was a no brainer need pick. Could have picked Henry in the second..

Here is my hope. Lee stays healthy. McClain stays healthy and one or both of the two young LBs steps up. Crawford improves to what we all hoped and the two numbnutz that got suspend come back and play well. With health and an improved pass rush and Scandrick back maybe the secondary is better too. A lot of what if's, but all very possible what ifs.

Plus...the draft isn't over and I expect a couple of guys added that could help too

if jerrah is in win now mode he takes a defender at 34. preferably spence, dodd, ogbah or alexander. I really think those 3 pash rushers are good and could start day 1

To be more blunt...STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MYLES

This defense doesn't have the luxury of draft n stash. We need able bodies NOW. Evenn if they are less talented, being the field is worth more than an All-Pro in street clothes. Stop trying ot get a steal and just get a guy.

I don't disagree with you, but I don't think Jack is a "draft and stash". I think he is playing at the beginning of the year. I think with Jack it's are you willing to play him for however long he lasts...maybe 5 years or maybe 5 weeks...

The COWBOYS aren't into much money with Alfred Morris, Darren McFadden, and Lance Dunbar.
I like Dunbar on third down.....He's averaged about 10 yards a catch. 12.1 yards a catch in 2014.
They won't have 4 RBs on the opening day roster
