You should have seen when they announced the team......it was named after the owner, Bob Johnson. There was like this collective media groan when he unveiled the team name and uniforms........they were all like, "Really, Bob? The BOBCATS????"

I lived in CHA for a few of my formative years around the time the Hornets became a team, it's a much cooler logo and harkens back to some really good memories. So cool, in fact, that I've noticed stores all over the country never really stopped selling Charlotte Hornets gear. Seems like for years Foot Locker, etc. have sometimes been carrying only 10 NBA teams' hats and Charlotte Hornets would be one of them.
