Timmay is "intrigued" by the flyers

A lot of people overrate edler ... Plus even he doesnt have confidence in his surgically repaired back

But then gillis will be pulling the trigger on the trade so i guess we get hal gill back in return :L

I think what he means is that he's intrigued by the Flyers 7 year $56M contract offer.

Any team that signs David Clarkson will be "Glad All Over"...

Edit: But probably not at this price - Yikes!

Dreger saying Clarkson will get $6.5mil x 7 years on the UFA market

:pizza: For the DC5 reference. Unfortunately we are probably the only ones old enough to get it. *Stomping my feet*

BTW. I heard on the radio that Darcy is talking to Danny Brieres agent.

Nice work Darcy, only 6 years later than you should have done it to start with.

LOL, That's what I was thinking. They said that 15 teams have contacted his agent. Could be a good addition for the right price.

Yeah, I'm not opposed to bringing him back to Buffalo at the right price. He's not the player he was 6 years ago, but given the overall shittiness of our forward corps, he could at least bring some solid veteran leadership.

I'd also love to see him play on a line with Gerbe and Ennis. Quite possibly the shortest line in NHL history.

Columbus is in on those talks. They entered the Horton Fray, but he's going to get too expensive fast.

Rumors of a Jarome Iginla visit are circulating too, but no one I know down there has said they've seen proof it's true.

Now that Bob is signed, they have 9 mil and one top six forward on the shopping list. The only regular forward from last year not signed is Vinny, and the word is if he doesn't sign as a player, he'll "retire" and move into Tyler Wright's recently vacated role/dept in scouting and development.

Boone Jenner will make the team. JAM and Ambroz might too. Rychel and Wennberg will next year.

Check out this article. Here is a bit of it but there is some interesting things in here..

*Mikhail Grigorenko will be with the Sabres all next season. The team's top prospect shuttled between Buffalo and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League last season, but Regier said Grigorenko will not be returned to juniors again. He is not yet eligible to play in the American Hockey League because of his age.

The complete story...Sabres don't expect to make big splash in free agency; Grigorenko will spend all next season in Buffalo - Sabres Edge | The Buffalo News

Haha, I actually quoted from that same article in the Free Agent Frenzy thread. It's a pretty sad assessment of our forward corps, IMO, when they're already saying a guy who flamed out in a big way at the NHL level last year (though I hold the team largely responsible for f-ing that situation up so bad) has already been given a full-season spot.

I'd be okay with this...although I dislike that I can't enjoy the Jackets anymore.

Unfortunately, the Yotes were not bought out by the city of Glendale.
