Im edgy. He has 33 picks and 16 fumbles in 2 years. He doesn't read defenses well and he forces balls into places they shouldn't be.
Dont give me the no receivers crap.

Didn't Manning throw a ton of interceptions early on in his career?

Through the first 32 games (2 seasons) for Brady want to guess how many picks he threw? He threw 30 interceptions and had I think 23 fumbles during that same time span. And have to remember Winston has had to throw the football quite a bit more in that same time span.

I'd be thrilled w/ Garrett, but I think Trubisky's gonna be a great one in a few years (he'll suck at first).

I'm happy either way, but a great QB > anything else.

I actully have a huge fear of you guys getting Garrett

With russ playing him twice a year

You should have a bigger fear of not playing Kaepernick twice a year. :D:D:D :harbaugh:

I certainly hope the Browns take their next bust QB with the top pick.

Plenty legitimately think Mitch is the QB1. In fact- in Zierlein's grading system- he's on par with Jameis Winston as a prospect.

I think comparison to Winston as a prospect is way overblown...if so he would be the clear cut #1 overall. In this cloudy QB class, he could very well be QB1.

The question I would have...is he the best player in this draft and most people seem to think Garrett is by a wide margin.

There's a big difference between 30 picks in 2001/2002/first two games of 2003, and 33 picks now. Over the last two seasons, Winston's INT% is 29.9% higher than the average of all the other QBs. Brady in his first 32 games was 12.7% lower than the average of all the other QBs.

Pretty Asinine to say the Goff sucks, after a. Starting less then half the season b. Having inexperienced offensive/bad coaching c. a qb that was sacked 26 times in seven game, not counting, all the other pressure statistics
The Goff trade sucked. Goff still has a chance but that was a terrible trade.

People forget how shaky people were on Winston and Mariota coming out of college.

Yep.

Probably the last #1 overall that was a true consensus was Luck...there were some GMs shaky over RG3 (obviously they were right).

With Winston and Mariota, they were not the highest graded (big board) players so yeah there were some shaky feelings, but the vast majority felt these were to top two picks in the draft that yr. I don't think many were truly considering Cooper or Leonard (two guys with higher grades) and it was never really any doubt that Tampa was taking Winston.

Maybe Tribusky will separate at the combine, but as it stands now...most of the NFL draft heads feel Garrett is the highest graded player in this draft and will go #1.

Don't the Browns already have a young qb that had a good rookie year. What they had a rookie qb with some promise and now they want to just move on again?

Just based on the math alone, this was not a good trade.

Goff's draft grade was basically the same as Wentz, and less than several other players. I understand draft grades don't always apply to QBs and where they are taken, but it didn't make a ton of sense to pay that kind of price to get a player who was not clearly graded above the rest of the draft class.

Kessler did show some promise, accurate but not a big arm, 2 concussions already, might not be long for this league. With all the picks they have it makes sense to invest in the position again...not #1, maybe not even #12, they probably could stand pat @ 33 and get one of the top 4 guys. Also they could probably pkg #33 and #65 and move back into the 20s if there's a run on QB.

That said, there's a good chance they spend #12 on a QB.

If, big if, the Browns are smart they'll completely ignore the QB position for once. Spend your $100 million in cap space on offensive line and defense, then draft nothing but D and maybe a running back. Win ugly, low scoring games, then draft a QB when you have a well rounded team where he's in a position to succeed.

But they'll probably draft a QB, let him get his head smashed in and destroy his career before he gets a chance.

I think its a little too early to make assumptions as to what they do with the pick...

The Browns already took your advice last year.

Their first 4 picks last year: WR, DE, DE, OT

If they aren't picking a QB at #1 then it means there aren't any good QBs. That or it means that someone trades up for Garrett.

Both Ogbah and Nassib were considered upside projects imo. I think very few GMs would give up on talent that quickly. I think its a possibility that Nassib will never amount to anything so maybe they get Garrett at #1 and maybe the 2nd/3rd/4th best QB with their second pick but picking mid-late 1st round QBs is actually what gets the Browns into trouble traditionally (Manziel, that old guy from OK St, Brady Quinn)

I would love to see where these stats are coming from. Not that I don't believe you just would love to see them. And my main point is that while turnovers yes are something Winston needs to work on I'm not as worried about those as some on here.

Trubisky's a good QB but if I'm Cleveland I go Garrett at 1 and trade #12 to the Pats for jimmy.

As long as they don't trade up to 22... Quinn, Weeden, Johnny Cokehead . . .
