Let's face it, Thanasis Antetokounmpo didn't make it in the NBA. He had a go with the Knicks in 2015-16 and couldn't get traction in that sad rotation.
It's no coincidence that he has been on the Bucks for the last two years with his brother Giannis. Yes, it likely keeps Giannis happy having his brother close, but let's face it, it's a way to slip him an extra $1.7M/year. Sure, Thanasis can play some off the deep bench and the Bucks do need to fill out the roster, so there is nothing wrong with it. But his contract is up this season and I'd be surprised if he has interest anywhere else, since he has below pedestrian numbers and at 28 is not going to get better. But if Giannis can bring home a ring will the Bucks sign his brother for just the league minimum again or will the brother bonus for Giannis be larger?
