Blue Jays starter R.A. Dickey, who took the loss Sunday against the Yankees to fall to 2-4 on the year, said following the start that he expects to undergo an MRI sometime this week, the New York Daily News reports.

The MRI, which could come Monday, is going to examine back pain in his shoulder blade area. Dickey says it is making it painful to throw. He's been complaining about this issue over his last few starts but keeps making his scheduled appearances.

Manager John Gibbons has said he believes Dickey's back issues are minor, though the pitcher seems to bring them up following each start. He's pitching with a 4.50 ERA and has allowed seven earned runs over his last two outings spanning 13 innings with six walks. Dickey is next scheduled to take the hill Saturday against Seattle.
