Tiger Woods Jan 27th 2015 (just a week ago)

"I'm cranking up speed," Woods said. "Speed's coming back up it's going to be a fun year. … My driving has come around a lot faster. I'm a lot longer than I thought I ever could be again. My speed is way back up, and that's fun. I'm touching numbers that I did 15 years ago, so that's cool."

Who in there right mind would have a new swing that puts more pressure on a just repaired back?

For a guy who changes his swing this many times, how was it not a priority to develop a swing that keeps
as little pressure as possible on a bad back? The speed and distance from 15 years ago is worth hurting your back again?

You get this feeling that this is the start of a slow downward spiral for Tiger. On and off the course.
And I know people will say it started years ago. They have a point.

He dips his head and sways to his right side on the downswing like a rank amateur. How can he not feel this and how can he not be able to correct it with all his experience and talent? Its got to be physical so I think he is lying about his health..

His knee, his back.... All excuses. All BS. All Hollywood.

Mentally, he has a block.. something ain't right. I know 10 handicaps that can chip better than that.

He's got the Ian Baker Finch syndrome.

Next thing you will hear is that his wrists are jacked.

If he was smart, he would be trying to dial it back a bit.. Freddy, Ernie, VJ all were bad asses in their late 30's/early 40's with smooth as silk swings.

Tiger's got mental problems and he's got the biggest ego ever and thinks he still needs to be 20 year old Tiger.

This all started when he chose to start walking off golf courses and quitting, while acting like he was hurt. He wasn't hurt. He just can't handle adversity and not being the successful and dominant "20 year old Tiger".

That's a bad groove to get into and now the karma golf Gods are really in his head.

His mom needs to take him back to asia and go to the Himalayas to do some meditating and find himself... 39 year old Tiger.

He's through. I don't consider myself a tiger hater because he was so awesome but his body just won't allow him to play the game he's been playing it his entire life, which is power golf. Let's say he does change his game and shorten things up. It's not like he's the type of guy who could come in and steal a tournament from the young bucks because they left the window open for him. He's used to taking the blow torch to the course and basically deciding things on Saturday. It was a great run but I wouldn't be surprised if he never won another tournament until he hits the seniors tour if he chooses to play on it.

Tiger has the yips and always will. That's not going to go away.

I'd be very interested to know how much he's making now as opposed to 2005.

Well at least he didn't 5 put after being on in 2 for a par 5. I've honestly never seen anything like that in my life.

Downward spiral...lol...I really think we're seeing the end TW as legit contender in any kind of tourney.

When you swing as hard as Tiger does/did and your back goes repeatedly...you're in trouble.

It's a shame to see him literally physically unable to compete anymore.

I've watched and read about a lot of golf over the years but the glutes firing statement was one I hadn't heard before. I thought he was kidding at first. When I found out he wasn't I got to wondering if firing glutes make a sound....like a rifle shot or something like that.

Still owes the ex-wifey of lore some 50+ mil from the big D. He better adjust to those yips or he'll be pimpin his own azz to any buyer soon.

My opinion...he recovers and overtakes Jack N in majors by 50 or before Tigger heads off to the Senior Tour.

Tiger has the yips, while Rory just won in Dubai at 20 under.

Why is it a shame? The guy has made millions and he's getting old.

At this rate Tiger may not win another PGA event. The guy is a train wreck.

Tiger needs what...4 majors to tie and 5 to overtake Jack N? Plenty of time left in Tiggers career to get that done, even IF it takes him another 3 years to correct his game/swing and start winning again.

Tiger's body is falling apart and he'll be fortunate to walk a golf course in 3 years.

You forget about the talent that's out there. Massive influx of 21 year olds on tour now. Rory, younger US players, the other euros, and Tiger's isn't what he was and it's been because of his short game and his Driver.

5 majors is a lot when you haven't won 1 for how long?

More in a year than we will ever make in 5 lifetimes.

I think the root of the yips is being on his 6th or is it 7th rebuilt swing. There is such a thing as ones natural authentic swing.
And steroids, hgh, en sech

He swings too hard, puts too much pressure on his back and his knee. Dude will never be the same. He won't be able to hit it as far as he once used to but that's no shock.
