I'll say 24-13 PSU. Don't feel good at all about this week.

They're coming off a bye and Michigan is coming off an OT win with their backup scrub QB. That score sounds about right honestly. Harbaugh should be fired for going 8-4 this season.

Backup QB that the entire fan base was clamoring to start. Speight has lost his starting position whether he was ready to play against MSU or not.

Big Deal, he played Nebraska. Nebraska went from 22 in rush defense, mostly because teams passed on them, to 61 after Wisconsin pounded them. Nebraska was the best defense he has faced so far, and that is not saying much. The same defense that was lit up by Arkansas State and Oregon.

I predicted on these here forums he would run up the middle with ease and gain 160 yards.

Let's see how he does vs Alabama or a Clemson. Maybe Michigan and Minnesota will give him a test. Possibly Iowa.

Total Defenses faced
81. Utah State
96. Florida Atlantic
53. BYU
65. Northwestern
43. Nebraska

Rush Defenses faced
100. Utah State
112. Florida Atlantic
77. BYU
50. Northwestern
61. Nebraska

Next four opponents rush defenses
66. Purdue
74. Maryland
89. Illinois
67. Indiana

If Barry Alvarez has his way, Mr. Taylor will be running for a lot in those four games. I will go so far as to predict he gets 151 or more in each game.

tell you what, I will be impressed if he rushes for 151 or more against Michigan.

Another mediocre performance by Johnathan Taylor with 220 yards vs Purdue. Just terrible the dude is just a scrub.

Well, I guess the backup was just as bad if not worse than the all mighty Speight. I'm still waiting for the Badgers to start their backup like they did last year. It appears PC has a double standard when it comes to Hornibrook when he sucks. Dude is an INT machine. He makes Speight look like a GOD.

Jonathan Taylor apparently got 194 of his 219 yards this week after contact. That's some tough running.

Considering I thought he had a bad game for his talent level I think he could've had 300 yards easily.

He's had 3 200 yard games as a freshman and only 4 RB's have ever done that. One of those guys was Adrian Peterson.

According to SI he's 5th in the Heisman rankings as a true freshmen. He has everything from elite power, speed, elusiveness, vision, patience, etc. He hasn't proven he has the hands yet but they really don't use him much in the passing game. Dayne believes he will break all the rushing records when it's all said and done.

which was pretty absurd to begin with. O'Korn's been a pretty lousy QB since his freshman year (and even that wasn't that great). I don't think Speight was a Heisman contender by any means, but he looked like a fine starting QB last year. I don't think he's been the same since the shoulder injury.

the Newsome injury was a huge blow to the OL, it was felt immediately after last year and we really miss him this year.

Well, not the entire fan base. . .

That's not true. He's the 6th freshman to do it since 2000. Also, those 6 RBs are a combined 0-9 against Ohio State, so I'm cool with him being a part of that club.

Season isn't even a quarter of the way finished. He's the trend setter. Dude is already a top 5 RB as a freshmen. You've been warned.

Pro Football Focus has just posted their rankings of the top 25 WR's and RB's after week 7. So far this season Johnathan Taylor is ranked as the 6th best RB in the nation as a true freshmen and Quintez Cephus is rated as the 15th best WR in the nation. Last week the Badgers LT Edwards was rated as the #1 OT in the Nation. I'm curious to see what their defensive player rankings look like. I'm pretty sure we will have 2 LB's in the top twenty at both ILB and OLB, and at least one defensive linemen in the top 20 and both safeties in the top 20 with one in the top ten. Brinkley and Nelson have both been lights out except for two big plays this season. IDK if that puts them in the top 20 but they're both amazing cover corners who's goal was to be the best two shutdown CB tandem in the league this season. Only position that doe sn't have an elite player is the most important position on the team and that's the QB spot. Hornytoad isn't even a top 75 QB IMO. I'm certain PFF won't have him in the top 75 either. If we do end up losing one game vs any BIG team this year it will be because of his ineptitude.

I'm more than happy to keep Dobbins, you can have him.

Pro Football Focus agrees with me.

Next please
I don't give a shit if JK Dobbins agrees with you. Dobbins is a truly special talent. Taylor looks like your typical Wisconsin RB tearing through holes from an elite OL facing horrible defenses.
