Here's the list of available rbs:

Not much out there, and not sure who we could have taken after Judkins and Henderson were gone by the time we got our 2nd round pick........
JK Dobbins maybe a choice, but he is always hurt.....

Bears life......
For what we need from a RB this upcoming season (obviously, we will want a young guy back their next year if possible) I could see both Dobbins AND Chubb being sufficient to compliment Swift. Hopefully we end up with one of them. Chubb sounds like an amazing team mate and seems more of a compliment to swift than Dobbins is, so I’d rather bring him in.

Both always seem to be hurt.....Im not liking either one,but atleast Dobbins is 3 years younger.....for what its worth.
Chubb just did not seem himself last season when he cane back from that knee injury......
So if we are going that route for rb,good luck to the Bears for picking one.

Not sure Tarik was able to do this after his surgery:

Yeah...Tarik was posting instagrams of himself during his rehab...then he got reinjured and admitted he went too hard and that was that for Tarik Cohen.

A flyer on Chubb...whatever. I would be surprised if we got the good Chubb after his injury. Odds are more likely he re-injures himself than that. There's a reason he hasn't been signed yet and would be a last minute, post draft scrap heap signing. A draft pick, young and hungry, in a draft that was deep and talented would have been way better. But we traded down so we could add a project linebacker. *shrugs*

It's all coming down to this:

I'm pretty unimpressed with Poles at the moment. His moves from the start of the draft combined with a move like this would be full-on admittance that our coaching staff is unimpressed with 3 of his recent bigger moves. IE: These moves fully call out Kmet/DJ Moore/Deandre Swift. (and Ben Johnson even alluded to this with his "dial it up a notch" comment)

Think about that.

We JUST SIGNED Swift (30 f*cking seconds into free agency opening last season mind you)...Traded for DJ Moore in the 1 pick move a few years back and re-upped Cole Kmet for 50 million or so two years ago. And they're definitely high profile "faces" of our franchise last season going into this one.

WTF is all I can say...LOL. Poles is fully just going to support his coach I guess. That could have some merit....BUUUUUTTT:

They better be right about Johnson, because if it doesn't work out it damns Poles to f*cking eternity. Why? Because he just waffled on 3 of his biggest moves in the past couple years.

Mind you, he's waffling on the word of his new coach. Well that's all fine and dandy...but Poles has arguably one of the WORST HC hirings in NFL/Bears/Whathaveyou history on his resume in Eberflus...and what is going on with Johnson fully confims that Poles made FA/Draft moves to appease THAT GUY and that sh*tty OC he hired last offseason.

Whatever. We'll see. If the Bears suck this season and Poles still has a job in 2026, this franchise is just f*cking with us.

So says CBS Sports:

Nick Chubb to the Bears

Chicago was rumored as a potential Ashton Jeanty landing spot in the draft. Instead, the Bears focused on the other skill spots. Chubb's pure rushing prowess would be a welcome complement to D'Andre Swift's change-of-pace burst, however. The entire offseason has been about boosting Caleb Williams' support.

If he passes the physical, it's a no brainer. The chances are contract length aside, Chubb would likely get just one year guaranteed, with little cap hit to boot.

Read that Seattle didn’t pick up 5th year option on Ken Walker III and are willing to move him, and also have been rumors that Jets are willing to trade Breece Hall, also in a contract year, though those have died down a bit…

While I don’t like dealing in pure hypotheticals, either would make sense if we can get them reasonably priced.

I would much rather give Ian Wheeler and Roschon a shot at the upcoming workouts and camps.

It always seems to be about value you get in a trade or in the contract, when the value is filling your roster with drafted players. There will be runners available preseason and at final cuts.

I am still trying to figure out why they paid Homer 3 million dollars if the plan was to get another bruiser.

3mil in the NFL is like finding $10 in your pocket. Wont break you if you didnt have it but isnt enough to turn your fortunes around.

Plus, you can add as many players as you want until August 27th cut day.

His cap hit is 1.645.

I am not sure what search engine you use for getting information....but it's broken.

Bears free agents yet to be signed

  • WR Keenan Allen
  • TE Gerald Everett
  • DE DeMarcus Walker
  • TE Marcedes Lewis
  • LS Patrick Scales
  • S Adrian Colbert
  • WR Collin Johnson
  • WR Nsimba Webster
  • DB Douglas Coleman
  • TE Tommy Sweeney
The above is from Bears Wire. Of this list, the two I'd probably be interested in bringing back are DE Demarcus Walker and TE Marcedes Lewis. I'm a bit surprised Walker has yet to be inked by some team in need of a veteran DE/DT crossover type. I thought he played fairly well last year. As #3 on the depth chart, the ancient but still effective Lewis would immediately step back in as our top blocking TE, which is really all you want from the guy, especially considering the two who are ranked above him.

I am sure we will get 2 more Webster and Johnson's to wow us in preseason, to show what it's like to actually have chemistry with a quarterback, then start the season with the 5 that get the minimal playing time in the preseason but are already penciled in on the 53 man.

Yes...they get less playing time so they don't get hurt.

Not really that hard to understand.

Good to know but honestly I'm tired of the Bears being the offseason champs, yet the regular season chumps. Hopefully this is the year when the upswing begins.
True.
Actually surprised the Patriots failed to make the list seeing how Vrabel was viewed as the 2nd-best coach available by many.

Weren't they 4th? I thought I saw they were favored in something like 11 games this year after being favored in 0 last year

Guess who they picked #1 most-improved?

We are vastly improved.....but we all know how it usually ends....maybe this year is different.

There's a lot of "This is the most positive I've felt about the Bears in (insert ridiculously long period here)" banter going on this offseason from Bears fans and media.

I find that insane.

Literally last year...LAST F*CKING YEAR...everyone was talking about how Caleb Williams was in the greatest situation in NFL history for a rookie QB...

...and we had arguably one of the worst seasons of my lifetime.

I ain't expecting sh*t out of this team until it's on the field and REAL.
