Can LeBron James average an assists double double, for the first time in his career?

I think he can and he could have before if he focused on it. Hopefully, he has weapons around him and the interest to do so. He’s had pretty high assist numbers because of his usage and talent even without great players around him. Some will get tired of him, but I love assists so go for it!

I think he gets a lot of flack because people want to compare him to Michael Jordan for the best of all time. But I think that’s silly. We all know it’s David Stockton.

I think he focused on getting assists before. When someone averages 7-8 a game, then they are focusing on it.

There also a few years when he shot 53-56% from the field. When he's that close to the rim, he has to finish, no one is going to get a better shot.

I hope he's able to get 51% FG this year, and keep his assists.

And get more steals. He's at 1.6 this year, let's keep that up.

He did the assists part last year. Unfortunately, he didn't do the shooting part, only shooting .493.

He declined his steals! He went from 1.6, from when I made that post, to finishing the year at 1.2. Go UP, not DOWN!

This year, he is doing the 51%+ shooting part, .513. He is not doing the assisting part, 7.9

Cmon LeBron James, put all of it together so you can have a special season.

* #3 was Westbrrok to Beal! I like this one because it's a guard to guard assist! This was 139.

Once he had 379 assists, so 139/379 is 36.7%. I can lookup later but I wonder what the percentage of their assists went to these guys.

Yes, if you could take one of Malone's top 1 or 2 assist seasons, and see if there's a way to find which one - two players he assisted to the most, in those years.

Also, I didn't mention this explicitly, but in that top 5 assists to a teammate, Trae Young appeared twice.

He was # 2, with Young to Capela.

And he was #4, with 139 assists Young to Collins.

If we can ever figure out those Malone questions for one or two seasons, then I would be interested in seeing Stockton's top two most assisted teammates from him, every year.

But first let's try to answer that Malone one.

Thinking about this some more, I remember Duncan had a lot of assists to Robinson. It never seemed to be the other way around. I don't remember any.
