He is better than the numbers recently. Torts' system not only dumped and chased, but also freed D men to attack for some damn reason.

Plus he was paired with Werenski who is a rover more than a defenseman. So Jones had to be two defenders. Then when Zach got hurt he took a lot of reps with DJ MDZ who wouldn't know the right place to be if there were cue marks on painted on the ice. He's a potentially elite defender. Right system, right coach and he could be back in the Norris conversation. In all the years I have been watching him, I could count on one hand the number of times I've seen him cleanly beaten on a zone entry.

With the lack of games and scouting, I think this is a year to not get too worked up over the draft order.

if we can stay around 5-10 I think it’ll be fine.
