8-1 with 4 quality wins. Suck it non-believers.

I'm not a non-believer in Va. Tech, I think they are a quality team top 35ish type of team. Just not sure their resume will say the same thing come Selection Sunday. I just plugged in a 9-9 finish in the ACC w/losses vs. Duke, at FSU, at Clemson, at UNC, at Virginia, at Miami, vs. UVA, at Pitt and at Louisville which I think is reasonable. That would put them at 20-10(9-9) with an RPI of 41 and an SOS of 60. I think that would get them an at-large bid(depending on what they did in the ACCT), but all we have to do is look to last year when the team ranked 41st in the RPI got left out.

I'm just saying they will be an interesting case come Selection Sunday because of the poor OOC SOS.

Also, beating New Mexico, Nebraska and Ole Miss, won't really mean much this year IMO, I don't think any of them will be viable at-large candidates. I think Michigan will be a quality win(top 60ish).

I'm a believer in VT as well, but I agree with your last paragraph. Nebraska, New Mexico and Ole Miss aren't quality wins right now, and highly doubt they'll be quality wins in March.

Think VT will need to win 10 (maybe plus one more in the ACC Tournament) to get into the big dance. I think they'll be able to achieve that.

Not very a good OOC SOS. Ranked #141 by Jerry Palm and its probably going to go down as VT ends their non-conference slate with 3 sub 250 teams.

Shoe-in 1st rounders: D. Bacon, J. Isaac
Borderline 1st rounders: X. Rathan-Mayes, T. Forest (only a frosh, could be a 1st rounder)
2nd rounders: M. Ojo, T. Mann

I expect all these guys to make an NBA roster, or at least a D-league spot.
