Duke was mighty impressive. But a lot of what I saw last night was UK's inefficiencies.

Duke also won't shoot 50% from 3 the rest of the year. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but Barrett and Reddish are more scorers than shooters. I can forsee a lot of 1-8 night from behind the arc for those 2.

When you're an offensively dominant team, you can still go cold.

OTOH, dominant defense like 2015 UK is a lot more reliable ... and they still lost.

That said, they are definitely the favorites right now.

@jontaejones you are correct no way Duke stays that hot behind the arc, seen happen a lot. However, now it seems they have an inside game they can rely on instead of forcing 3s, like Wofford did against UNC

Based on what I saw Tuesday night Duke should be required to play in the NBA.

BUT, I've also said Alabama's football team should be required to play in the NFL and nobody will listen to me.

Decent Read

Good read. After what happened to us in the tournament back in March, I just can't get excited about the regular season. It's almost like this team is how the Washington Capitals used to be: really good during the season but find ways to choke in the playoffs.

Enjoy that ranking while you've got it and hopefully for you FSU will move up even higher.

I don't pay too much attention to rankings until teams are about half way through conference play but it's always nice when we see our teams ranked.

What's impressive is Ham never settles on a rotation until January.
(Most coaches probably don't).

If you can have success by giving folks who should only get 4 minutes on the court, 10 minutes on the court, you have a shot
at being decent when the minutes are allocated properly when
your game rotation is set.

Just as long as Forrest and Mann get 40 minutes a game with
a couple of time outs for them to catch their breath we'll be
pretty tough this year.

I hear you man. I feel sure that FSU will be a contender in the ACC this season. Winning on the road is the key which is always difficult to do in the ACC and this been a big problem for my Wolfpack for several years. We've got so many new faces that I don't have a clue what our rotation will be yet.

While Radford is a bad loss, it isn't a terrible loss. Top 150 team. Obviously that number could fluctuate in either direction.

IUPUI is a terrible loss. probably going to be in the 250-300 range all year. Between struggling with St. Francis and losing to IUPUI, it is clear that this BC team has issues.

They miss Robinson badly. I thought they might be a fringe bubble team, but they've played like shit this year. I was hoping the Gophers might pick up a Q1 win at BC(assuming they win), but now it looks like a Q2/Q3.

yeah, Robinson was a great player. tbh, it looks like this BC team just doesn't have enough firepower after Bowman and Chatman

Yeah, I would agree with that. I think the Gophers beat them by double digits in the challenge.

File this under the many reasons the NCAA is bullshit. Our top recruit this past year is having to sit out temporarily because he scored "too high" on his ACT. He met all the other academic requirements to get into Tech but they think its suspect an athlete could possibly just score well on the exam.
