2 years of eligibility left. #59 overall recruit in his class. Will be 24 years old in his final year in college, going up against 18 year olds at Duke.

This article about it makes more sense of it. It basically is saying that he'll take over for Hunter when he likely declares for the draft after next year.

UVA lands transfer from Alabama forward Braxton Key

ut oh... Wendall Carter's Jr mother might be putting a light onto the NCAA

"When you remove all the bling and the bells and the sneakers and all that," she said, "you've paid for a child to come to your school to do what you wanted them to do for you, for free, and you made a lot of money when he did that, and you've got all these rules in place that say he cannot share in any of that. The only other time when labor does not get paid but yet someone else gets profits and the labor is black and the profit is white, is in slavery."

Duke star's mom: NCAA rules are like slavery

I disagree, and Carter's Momma seems much more opinionated since her son declared, which she should be rich enough and soon enough

I think they have to get something (maybe not money but they get something....) but yes she certainly does sound more opinionated now that he is out of Duke.

Duval & Trent should have stayed in school lol.

I've seen several mock drafts since the NBA lottery last night with neither going in round 1.

At Duke, you perform and go 1st round or you're gone.

If Duval comes back, then Coach K would have lied to Tre Jones about him being the starting PG. In any case, its hard to see Coach K even giving Duval the chance to start seeing how badly he played.

Trent would have to fight with Barrett and Reddish for minutes.

The only other option was really to transfer.

Trent staying would have made them the team to beat IMO. Now I'm not sure.

Duval may not even get drafted, but I can see Trent going late first round. Here is one site that sees Trent going in the first round:

2018 NBA Mock Draft & Simulator | Tankathon

I shouldn't say Duval won't get drafted as he will. But he isn't as good as he thinks he is.
