I'd agree, especially considering Paul left after his sophomore season. Not to bring up bad memories but that 2005 game against WVU was an all-time classic. It was a shame they got that draw, that was a fun Wake team to watch.

Wake was only in that situation because Chris Paul lost his temper in Raleigh, and punched Julius Hodge in the nuts during the regular season finale. Chris Paul got suspended, and NCSU whooped Wake's ass in the rematch at the ACC Tournament in DC.

Duke ended up winning the ACC Tournament, took Wake's 1 seed, and instead of playing in Charlotte, the Deacs got shipped out to Cleveland.

That Wake team were pretty poor defensively, but were the #1 offense in the country. Shit happens when you don't play defense.

When I think about it, it legit pisses me off how poorly Skip's team did in the post-season.

Yeah, they were a great team to watch. Justin Gray was always so underrated IMO. Him and Paul made a heck of a backcourt. It was just a really skilled team.
