Big game for VT tonight, as they host UNC. They're 2-4 in the ACC, so going three games below .500 wouldn't be ideal. Chance to get a top 10 win.
Big end to the half.

Completely understand and agree. Seems like it always occurs when teams beat either UNC or Duke. Only time I wouldn't have a problem with it is when the team wins a title. My buddies and I cringe when we do. It's so embarrassing.

Not saying Clemson would have won tonight by any means, but losing Grantham is such a huge huge blow to them. That really, really sucks. And damn does UVA look impressive. They have a really easy schedule(by ACC standards) down the stretch. Could see them going something like 16-2, which would give them the ACC outright, unless Duke ran the table.
I see 2 losses the rest of the way, @ Duke and @ Louisville, which should still be enough for the regular season title. Not saying Clemson would have won tonight by any means, but losing Grantham is such a huge huge blow to them. FWIW, the ACC only recognizes the ACC tournament winner as the ACC Champion.
for some weird reason, I always love to mention that when the subject of ACC regular season champion comes up.

Ahh, that's right forgot about that. Guess they'll have to settle for being 16-2 with nothing to show for it. lol.
I think they'll lose at Duke as well. And I could see them losing at L'Ville, but they have owned L'Ville as of late and this is the worst version of L'Ville in the last 5 years.
meh, regular season titles have lost their luster in CBB now that the schedules are unbalanced. I don't have a problem with regular season champions hanging a banner, though. Still think it is a nice accomplishment, but the ACC just doesn't recognize it.
FWIW, when Josh Howard was announced at the ACC Tournament as an ACC legend last year, the PA announcer listed his peak accomplishment as "2000 NIT Champion", as opposed to "2003 ACC Regular Season Champion." I found it odd at the time, and embarrassing, because 2000 was the only year Wake missed the NCAA tournament when Howard was a Deac.
Agree with your first part.
And I have to lol at the bolded part, that's just dumb by the ACC.
lmao, I'm not going to lie. When I heard that, I got pretty pissed
lol yeah me too. Howard was awesome, wasn't he ACC POY? Couldn't they have said that instead(if he was)
He was ACC POY and 1st-team All American as a senior. Howard had a better career at Wake than Chris Paul did, IMO.
