Depends on the draft....Usually there is a consensus of who the top guys are (be it 1, 2, 3 or even more top guys). If it's a clear #1 or 2 obviouslt best to be at top.
True. But also if you go through past draft you can always find guys who were taken later who make a much bigger impact for their team than some of the top picks.

I really don't care if there is a lottery or not, I kind of like it and it may deter a tiny bit of tanking, but it is far less than intended.

My point is often people put far too much weight on getting the #1 overall pick. There are many gems in most drafts, even further down.

Fair points...really just depends on draft as mentioned. Guessing teams would really like a shot at the #1 this year, for instance. Will Flagg pan out? Who knows?

I wonder how much he makes

But it’s also shows how embarrassing it is the us still isn’t winning Olympic Games by 40+

Not true because our top competition is basically a roster full of nba players just look at Canada and France. The best player in the league is from Serbia

You have to be more specific. Nobody chooses Clippers unless it's for a payday lol.

Lakers don't have trade assets left lol.

Hey what if I was talking about the L.A. Sparks? :heh:

I'm pretty sure Flagg will pan out. But I think there are several players in this draft that are going to be very good NBA players.

Definitely can get good value late. Reaves was a UFA when the Lakers got him. But generally speaking, the higher your draft pick, the more likely you are to get a star quality player.

Those lower picks and UFA's might occasionally turn into very good rotational players, but rarely anything more. Reaves becoming a legit 3rd option is pretty unusual.

Cmon man.

International competition was a relative joke in the Dream Team days.

US has the best team. But expecting a great international team to beat a really good one by 40 on average simply isn’t possible anymore.

Too much talent around the world.

France made the gold medal game with fat bear, a replacement nba player, leading the way

And that is like 10 times better than the 2nd best team the Dream Team played.

Not to mention, the US teams pretty much get thrown together just weeks before the competition. A lot of the Euro teams play together on National teams in the off-season. So, they are more used to playing together.

Wow.

All I am saying here…

If your last name is Fattal…

Maybe you shouldn’t be the one reporting on a serious car crash.

I read that quickly and saw Arenas name, Fattal’s name and first glance thought it was fatal car crash.

Hope he ends up being okay.
