There's a bit of (understandable) jealousy of the new players from the older ones, the old guys played before the massive explosion of salaries. Guys like MJ got really rich but not really the other stars of that era. Today a guy like Jimmy Butler or Devin Booker will make more in one year than guys like Barkley made their entire career.

It had everything to do with the topic that I was discussing with tlance as I was providing a cause-and-effect argument for the necessity for referees to reign in this exponential growth in traveling on all levels. We came to the conclusion that the NBA does not want that to happen.

And it’s been a negative impact on….everyone
