To be fair...Shaq probably has nightmares and bad flashbacks about Chauncey from the '04 finals.
You should have never trusted Shaq's NBA analysis. It is just not what he does. Barkley does a little more, and Kenny more than both. Shaq and Barkley are just their for their names and entertainment. Barkley mostly to be the punching bag, having no rings, and loudly making picks as bad as Stephen A's.Shaq, Kenny, and Barkley get paid for ANALYSIS AND COMMENTARY! If comedic relief is a component of that than so be it, but the basis for his paycheck is to know his product (analysis).
By defintion, you can't have succinct and accurate analysis without data and the knowledge thereof and Shaq is deliquent in that department if he isn't upholding his own standard and doesn't even know crucial data facts like who the HC of the Pistons is.
All three should be on top of their game and know exactly what is going on in every NBA city and then some. Otherwise his/their commentary about the performance of a given player, coach, and/or team is suspect and cannot be trusted to the level any given fan demands!
Yea, I get all that logic. I never did put much stock in Shaq and Barkley's analysis to begin with. I just was posting additional commentary into the issue raised here on the SportsHoopla. You should have never trusted Shaq's NBA analysis. It is just not what he does. Wait, you don't remember Kobe ever being compared to Jordan? Are you serious or did you just start following basketball? You go dig up an article if you crave one. All you need to do is Google it.
Compared the way Lebron is as in wondering if Kobe was on MJ level or even better? Agree. He was not.Kobe was never compared to MJ the way LeBron is.
If you really followed the NBA, which it seems you don't, you would know that.
If you choose to disagree with me just ask any of the regulars in the NBA threads old enough to remember MJ's career and they would agree with me.

You said name an NBA player compared to MJ. I named one. Now you are putting qualifiers on it because you realize you were wrong and the guy who just agreed with you agreed with me on Kobe a few pages back. I don't need people on this board to tell me conversations that went on in the real world with real people. If you are saying Kobe wasn't compared to MJ you just don't know what you are talking aboutKobe was never compared to MJ the way LeBron is.

to be fair I think he does understand. When he came into league Kobe often was compared to MJ if I remember correctly. But, no, not on level Lebron is now (or last decade or longer)That fella just doesn't seem to understand what I've been trying to explain to him.
But when someone is a hater of a player there's no reasoning with people like that.
They will only believe what they want to believe.
And I'm not trying knock Kobe's game, he's all time great. But LeBron is on a different level than him.

I agree not to the level of LeBron and mostly because LeBron is better than Kobe was (hopefully this doesn't start the Kobe fans coming at me nowto be fair I think he does understand.
