Keep Christie, Vincent, Hachimura, and our future First Rounder. We don't need no stinking Brown or even another Center that James and AD are crying about.

Can't agree with this. A little midseason success against some struggling teams (and a very tired Celtics team playing their 5th game in 7 days and the second of a b2b) is nice, but could very well be fool's gold in the big picture. The idea of relying on Hayes as the backup big (and potential starter when AD misses games) makes me nauseous, as does seeing more key minutes for Shake Milton at backup PG.

Christie should be kept, absolutely. Rui is becoming a man without a role, as he shares the 3/4 positions with Vando, DFS, Lebron and Knecht. Vincent is playing better, so if a trade doesn't require his salary, he could be kept. The Lakers are definitely reluctant to spend those 1sts, and IMO should only do so if the perfect fit is available (like Kessler or Turner for example). 2nds are much more likely to be used, but the Lakers only have 2 left currently, possibly limiting them to a single move.

Yeah.

The young players on the Laker roster are role players at best.

Developing them is a nice idea, but if AD and LeBron move on, there just isn’t much there.

Now ask yourself did bum ass Jabari Smith ever avg that over a 15 game stretch in his 188 games as a starter?

So you're more surprised when a top 5 does good than when a top 5 doesn't?

Jabari has never played as many minutes as Amen is during this stretch, so it's a strained comparison. However, Amen's stats in December of 12/7/2 (and overall for the season) at around 30mpg are pretty close to Jabari's career numbers in approx that same 30mpg..

The team has very limited depth.

Firing Mike Malone isn’t fixing that.
So I presume you think the Bulls have great depth based on that 41-10 disparity?

Sometimes as a coach you've got to create your own depth... Donovan did so last night. Malone didn't.

I would argue Donovan did his franchise a disservice with that win last night. They're trying to sell off their pieces to tank and rebuild with a 2025 1st rounder that is top 10 protected. They're currently at 9 and at the mercy of the lottery.
