This is the guy along with LeBron James who are doing the most crying for another Center. The Lakers already have three back-up Centers and one of them is still injured. Dude needs shut his piehole and play like he did last night.

Problem is 2 fold...if he has to play like that every night..he may not have a lot left for the playoffs.

Also, having a center who can hold down the paint allows AD to be more effective. When they won in 2020 they had Dwight taking care of the paint which allowed AD to "roam" more, which made the defense better.

Hayes and Koloko are too light in the ass and Wood isn't really known for his defense.

The 2 way players aren't eligible for postseason play. Wood has yet to set foot on the court and doesn't appear to have a timetable. Hayes is.....well, Hayes. If you're fine with another 1st round (or play-in) exit, sure those guys are enough.

The Lakers needed all of AD's 40+, 20+ last night. That's not repeatable, and that was just vs the Hornets without their top 2 players.

Well, TJF12 and Shopson. You can provide those logical arguments for the Lakers to make a deal to get Kessler or Turner all you want but it appears they ain't going to do much if anything in a week or two. We are probably going to be stuck with what we have this year.

Also, before any dumbass rumors come about with Fox, I would absolutely LOVE to have him on the Lakers.

That being said, there is absolutely nothing LA could offer Sacramento for him. Nothing!

We'll see. They don't want to give up their 1st round picks for someone who isn't going to be a difference maker, which is smart. They are reported to have great interest in Kessler...but Ainge's asking price is too high right now. Hopefully they can get him for something like Knecht, removing the protections on the '27 1st the Jazz already own and the '31 1st. Just depends on if Ainge will drop his asking price.

Another option is Myles Turner as Indy seems like they aren't going to pay him. Not sure what all the Lakers would have to give up for him...more players for sure due to the cap and the '31 1st as well.

Obviously, just about any team would be able to make a better offer for either player but haven't heard much about other teams looking at them....yet.

Fox is an interesting development and would provide the playmaker they need. But I'm guessing that there will be a lot of suitors, and the Lakers would quickly be outbid.

I wouldn't put much stock in anything you read right now...it's lying season, so you have teams giving out false info and reporters looking for clicks.

@bksballer89 any chance Jimmy would actually straighten up and help a random team make a playoff run without a new contract?

WTF!?! Sacramento had turned things around

Between Fox and Monk they have 2 guys taking really bad shots. It will cost much less in the future for Monk to take those bad shots than fox. Simple economics.

Every 5 or so games one of them gets hot and everyone says “see, see! How dare you criticize them”

Yea we will see because I am quite sure Western Knecht isn't going anywhere either. I believe Redick's agenda is the right one and it appears to be supported by the ownership and FO because it was one of the many reasons they hired him.

Also, if by chance the Lakers do make a move in the next two weeks, I think Hachimura (which also shouldn't go anywhere either) will go before Western Knecht.
