2 of the 3 are past their primes and the other is a Beta at best. Actually more than one of them are Betas. Is Jimmy still an Alpha? I don’t think so.
Jimmy doesn't need to be an alpha but it sure seems like he thinks he is...doesn't sound good for any locker room he walks into

Honesty KD and Jimmy teaming up is kind of off the charts. Just shows the desperation.

Yep....might as well take one more shot at it then blow up if doesn't work (and don't think it will).

Oh, it is extremely unlikely to work.

But there is very little they can do right now that is likely to work.

I mean, they could always.... not spend $120m a year on two fairly injury-prone 36/37 year olds

Plus, and I haven't done the math on this yet, wouldn't it mean the only way Phoenix could even get Jimmy would be to send Beal over to Miami?

Yes, but he would have to go to a 3rd team (Miami wants no part of Beal's contract - or should anyone) and Beal would have to approve the team (no trade clause). Also, Miami can't absorb the differential between Beal's and Jimmy's contracts due to the new cap rules, which would need to involve a 3rd team for that purpose anyway.

Find a 3rd team and Beal accepting that team seems like the hardest part in all this

So with everything going on how bad do the Nets look for jumping the gun and firing Atkinson and then blowing it up? They had a lot of pieces. Bad franchises can’t seem to change though.

All the Magic need is to get healthy so they can see what they really have.

If Middleton's contract was expiring there might be some kind of deal where Miami would take him for some cap relief next season and picks but he has a player option.

Magic strength is defense and doing this makes their defense mid

they listened to the players and it went wrong.

that also includes signing DeAndre Jordan when they had Allen at home already.

Especially since the Suns don't have much draft capital to throw at them to sweeten the deal.

A simplified example would be:

Suns get Butler
Bulls get Beal and 2031 first from the Suns
Heat get LaVine

Works for all 3 teams, cap wise. Does it work for any of them asset wise? Arguable.
