I completely agree with Barkley and this was my issue when the Heat were really good a few years ago then ESPN/NBA wonder why come playoffs time, casual fans doesn't know much about the other teams

I assume First Take is ESPN's top show and they barely talk about the 2 best teams in the NBA record wise

It's a fair point but how many casuals watch that stuff? I don't watch anything on ESPN ever, barely even tune into Inside the NBA once in a while.

Who knows but the NBA does a poor job of promoting the actual good teams. It is completely different in the NFL and MLB

MLB doesn't promote anything right LOL

NFL...yeah I guess, it's more established and is unlikely ever to be surpassed. Mainly the nature of the games being only once a week so each one matters.

Ehh I don't agree with that about MLB completely. National TV games in the MLB actually showcase the good teams in the league even if they are not a big market.
