KD and Irving played together before....wonder if Dallas tries to get in on the KD sweepstakes I'm the offseason. Haven't looked at the Mavs salary cap to see who could be dealt.

But, AD, KD and Irving is a damn good trio.

Yup about 3 years too late. I really think what Brooklyn tried to do may have worked out if it wasn’t for covid and how it made Kyrie go off the reservation.

True, but not sure they needed to add Harden to the mix. Might have been better off sticking with Levert, JA and the picks used to get him.

IF...it could be done...AND...all 3 could stay healthy...they'd have a 2 year window with a very good shot.

They'd likely have depth issues that could be their undoing though.

I think 2-3 years....

But, yeah depth could be an issue, unless they found some vets wanting to chase a ring and sign cheaply.

I dont feel like KD anymore is such a plus he would overcome them having to deal PJ, Gafford, and Klay plus whatever draft capital they would deal away.

I guess technically they can trade for him but like you said, they would be giving up all their depth and that isn't working in today's league. KD + company tried that in BKN and in PHX. Kyrie and AD are injury prone. All of them aging but still great.

Doesn't seem like a good plan so I bet Dallas pulls the trigger.

I always hold my breath when I hear knee sprain.

Way too often that ends up being ACL.

I kinda feel it for Mavs fans.

To go from an extremely promising future and making the NBA Finals, to losing Luka to the Lakers, Kyrie for the rest of the season and ADs health being a big question mark moving forward.

They might still make the play-in but the gap between them and the Suns in 11th spot is only three games.

They only all have to be healthy once the playoffs start....

You think any team would look forward to playing a team like that with 3 guys that are that good and have that much experience?

Just imagine them healthy and a 5-6 seed? Or let's see they a play-in team....not many going to want to face a trio like that.

I think they'd be a "get to the playoffs healthy" type team that no one wants to play.

Problem of course, is you can't guarantee that and it would be a lot of lost money and assets for nothing if they don't win.
