Just wondering which are big reaches?

Luka (5x A.S.), J. Murray can hoop it up, SGA (3x A.S.), Kyrie (9x A.S.), Giannis (9x A.S.), Siakam (3x A.S.), Markkanen (1 x A.S. / 22.6 ppg last 3 seasons),

Porzingus (previous 7 seasons 20 ppg this season just under 20), Alpren Sengun (1st time A.S. this season), Franz Wagner (increased scoring average each year in league),

Jokic (7x A.S.), Embiid (7x A.S.), Sabonis- get rid of him, shouldn't have mentioned him, was thinking of his dad

I don't think this team is all that bad. Don't they they'd get blown out.

It isn’t that they would get blown out. They wouldn’t.

Half of your list is undeserving of an all star bid this season based on either production or games missed.

All stars should be approximately the best 24 - 30 players in the league any given season. No need to limit American roster spots to just 12. That is incredibly unfair.

The following players do not deserve to be all stars this season under any circumstance:

Murray, Markanen, Porzingas, Embiid and Wagner too.

--->I wasn't talking just about this season. I was looking at the players total careers.

Where exactly did I say limit the American roster to just 12? <------

I was trying to think of an A.S. type roster of foreign players.

Just because you may not win a title doesn’t make you not for real/legit. They were trying to use okc losing to Dallas last year as such a bad thing like Dallas didn’t have 2 of the best offensive players in the world. Doesn’t make your season a failure/means your season is a failure if you lose to another really good team. If the Cavs lose to the Knicks in the 2nd round in 6 or 7 games, I wouldn’t consider the Cavs season a failure
I consider that a failure too bc….

FUCK THE KNICKS

That is obviously implied.

If you make the All Star game US vs the world, then you only have US born players on 1 team.

That is the key fact that people making this suggestion aren’t considering.

Snubs would be absolutely insane.

And the All-Star game should just be for this season, it shouldn't be a lifetime award.

I have done quite a few 3 point contests before. Men’s league I used to play in did NBA style 3 point contest every year.

First round has margin for error. You don’t have to beat everyone, just have to beat 5/8. And there will always be a couple who do very poorly.

Finals?

Have to beat everyone left. Less margin for error. More pressure.

Dame was the only one in that field who should have expected to advance. No shame in missing out unless you are the guy who really tanks it (Cade, Powell and Cam).
almost feels like this is why might be more pressure earlier as everyone knows it's easier to get by round 1 and in Finals it's allegedly the best and not a shame not to win it.

But either way for me think Garland lost (and likely the others) because they had an off shooting 2 minutes.

But you are assuming he knew he wasn’t going to play a week ago.

And I am telling you that is a bad assumption when you are talking about a 40 year old.

Probably feels unexpectedly worse today.
It's definitely an assumption....but knowing what we know of Lebron? wanted the limelight and didn't want to either not go or show up as a spectator. Knew he wasn't playing a real possibility.

a failure? Maybe not though would be incredibly disappointing as they have improved every season in this rebuild and that would end the streak.

Yeah I made a mistake mentioning Sabonis and even said something about that.

I would have thought stealing Luka would have him happy for a lot longer than this. The phrase “wouldn’t be happy if hung with a new rope” comes to mind.

You turn like a cornered rat whenever someone questions your Thunder, yet I'm the one unhappy.

I'm perfectly happy to argue on a slow day at work.

All-star rosters should be whomever the fans want IMO. That would require removing AS ties to bonuses though, so it has to be tempered by the equally misguided and "impartial" players/coaches/media.
