That's what I thought too. Spent the whole 4th quarter pulling for the clock because I was sure he was going to start going off any second.

Finally being able to switch on the perimeter without giving up a ton is a plus. Gabe/Christie/Vando/DFS and either Lebron or AD is a solid defensive team. 4 of those guys with Reaves can work too as long as they help Reaves. When it's Reaves and Rui/Knecht, things get sketchy.

They definitely need to trade wood and other salary, ideally with the seconds for a center

That’s what brow wants as well

Rui is expendable now too. Hayes, Wood, Reddish, JHS, Rui, maybe Vincent if they're bringing in an upgrade at backup point. 2 1sts (but only for a a younger player, not guys at the end or rentals), 2 2nds (possibly 3 if they take the protections off the 2027 1st they traded to Utah in the DLo/Westbrook trade) to work with.

Need a center for sure, but not necessarily a starting center. Just someone that play up to 25 minutes backing up AD (and occasionally playing with him). The only starting C I would make exceptions for would be Turner. Not sure if Kessler counts as a starting center, but he would be an exception too if so. Capela might be interesting, but is a bit rich for someone that probably wouldn't start.

Athleticism/defense in a combo guard or 2/3, and if they move Vincent they could use a playmaking PG.

He has talent. He's not going to be an all-star, but if he's allowed to develop, he should be able to become a serviceable NBA player.

He's quick, fast and can jump out of the gym. Biggest concerns are that he's only 6'2", his offense is pretty inconsistent and the expectations that his name brings.

That poster dunk from Friday night was great. Had a nice lob dunk too, and was hitting his 3s on his way to 31 pts. His confidence (at that level at least) seems to be boosting his game.

The Sixers are a nightmare. They’re in the worst spot a sports team can be in this market. People are starting not to care. They’re not even upset enough to be fired up. Nobody brings them up on sports talk radio other than to say they aren’t worth the energy or effort anymore. They’re lucky the Eagles have gone deep this season. I’ve given up on the idea that Embiid will ever be healthy enough.

I expected this for Embiid but PG missing all these games already is a major red flag

I will be stunned if Embiid plays another 4-5 years

Very tough to do, but they needed to trade Embiid when you said they should have like 1.5 years ago.

Would have gotten so much return.

I think they still need another defensive guard or 2/3, like Bruce Brown. Christie could use help, either to back him up or perhaps take the big minutes if and when they hit the playoffs. Expecting Christie to handle crucial playoff minutes may prove foolish IMO.

I’d want someone bigger than Christie and a better shooter than brown

But beggars can’t be choosers if tor wants any of those rough contracts the lakers have

Not sure who that would be for $20Mish and not using a 1st. Josh Green maybe? Will get a close look at him tonight.

Brown plays bigger than Christie (stronger), but is physically shorter. Toronto is going to lose him regardless this summer, but there may be other buyers before the deadline.

Yep. Being on the team with his Dad is a really cool thing...but he has his own career to think about and getting time on the court is his best route.

Christie is going to be a big part of their future going forward so he needs the experience.

He is a very good defender.

Keep Christie, Vincent, Hachimura, and our future First Rounder. We don't need no stinking Brown or even another Center that James and AD are crying about.
