I'd say JB a hell of a coach but still like many....give him talent he can win. Don't and he wont.As of this morning the Pistons are a game over .500 and sitting in the 6th playoff spot in the East. Not even the play-in, the play offs. At the 44 game mark, just over half way through the season, they have already won 9 more games than their win total all of last season. This is basically with the same team they had last year (Bojan and Burke were shooting about the same as Beasley and Hardaway). And their recent push to respectability has been done without their, arguably, second best player, Jaden Ivey being out with a broken leg.
Those that doubt that Monty Williams was trying to get fired by actively sabotaging the team can only believe that he is an utterly and completely incompetent coach with this drastic turn around. Sure, Bickerstaff is a good coach, but is he really that great to create this huge a turn around; the Cavs fired him and they also just got better.
It feels nice to see the Pistons decent again after a long drought. I can almost say Deeeetroit Baaasketbaaaaalllll!
This is really impressive this year, though...credit to JB AND the players.
