If Wemby and the Spurs keep this up, likely means the Warriors or Suns don't even make the play-in game

If the Suns can ever stay healthy, they'll be fine. Dubs might be in trouble though.

But if I'm running the Spurs and we get to the All Star break still flirting around that 10 spot, I'm tanking. With the shortened lottery odds, I'd rather take a shot at Flagg and Ace. Pair Wemby up with one of those guys and you could dominate for a decade. That's more important than making the playoffs this year and lose in the 1st round.

It might be the only chance SA has to tank going forward. Wemby is only getting better and I assume the young players around him will grow and/or they will eventually spend some money to give him a legit #2 or #3.

Now if the Spurs trade for Fox, it’s a different story.

Jordan Poole has never been, and never will be, a winning basketball player. Negative value.

No doubt, still a negative on/off which is hard to do on a team this bad. There is a substantial drop off in rebounding and defensive agressiveness when he's out there. He's a compiler

Jaden Ivey got fucked up bad tonight. Cole Anthony dove at a loose ball and hit his leg, pretty sure it broke.

Didn't see the game and won't watch the play but that fucking sucks. I hope its a clean break of his lower leg that's 2 to 3 months instead of shredding his knee.

If its his fibula as an example he will be perfectly fine, I hope for this young man that is the case.

Where he is holding his leg gives me hope in a shit situation

And buddy hield is? I will take Poole everyday over Hield

Not me.

Poole is toxic

Heild is just your run of the mill replacement level shooter.

Now, if Poole can ever learn to check his ego? He could be a really good instant offense 6th man type on a good team like he was with the Warriors when they won.

But I don’t think think his ego will allow him to get back there.

I do think 6th man is the ideal role for him on a good team

Like a Jamal Crawford type.

But that only works if the player has the humility to accept that role.

Poole wants to be the man.

Its a bizarre turn given his unheralded start.

Dont think ive ever seen a player drafted this late act like this.

He averaged 9 points a game at michigan. He was barely a top 100 college prospect.

But when Poole makes one of those running, fade-away 3's (and falls to the ground for full effect).... WOW!

:D

Right?

You think he would be happy just to have a role on an NBA team. Let alone getting a bag.

if you did not expect a Lakers win tonight- when the Lakers were waiting for the Cavs- coming off a back to back from GSW - not sure when it would happen.

Darius Garland was fantastic in that game. He did not shoot that well, but he was constantly breaking down the defense and beating guys off the dribble, penetrating and finding a guy. He looks amazing.

I cannot believe that someone on here was suggesting/referencing possible trades for Garland based around Hachimura, lol.

Garland is going to make another All-Star team coming up very soon.

Allen played a great game too. Solid D, efficient, finishing at the rim and just overall so solid.

I do not even think the Cavs played that well in that game- and missing Okoro as a wing defender was not ideal.

Having said all that- looking at the Cavs schedule- they have had a pretty damn easy schedule thus far.

My goal for the team during the hot start was 2nd seed and ECF....I still think that is realistic though the one-seed is certainly possible if they can have some health and deal with the schedule which is going to get more difficult.

Sure, let's base our opinions on Rui in possibly his worst performance this year, lol. He's shooting 43.8% from 3 this year after that poor performance Tuesday. He's largely a one dimensional player. I had issues with you calling him trash, never suggested he was a key piece other than salary-wise.

Why would I expect a win over the team with current best record in the league? Working two guys in after one post-trade practice, missing 2 PGs, etc. 3 pt differential won the game really.
