Not sure what I think of this. Could be fun. I like having the Rising Stars team involved. That could actually make things more competitive as those players will likely want to win.

This would work. All star game every other year to give it time to build up. Then its the best of the American born players versus the best of every other country. Ryder Cup of the NBA . winning team gets a cool trophy and bragging rights that they get to keep until the next game two years later.

Did they? Know it's been talked about but didn't realize it happened.

Either way, don't think a trophy gets them to play hard, which is the only change needed.

The in season tournament is already lame AF and unnecessary, but adding to that crap by having the semi final and the final in friggin Las Vegas does nothing but cheapens it even more.

The entire thing is just a money grab attempt and a marketing/advertising ploy.
Adam Silver's NBA front office shouldn't lower their standards to that of the NCAAF, the NFL or the WWE for facts sake.

Because they don't have to. That's why.

The NBA is already a successful business, sports and entertainment entity...and it's worldwide too fwiw.

It's so dumb. With the Suns being over the 2nd apron, its practically impossible to construct a trade with them. They can't aggregate players in X number of players for 1 swaps. And with the salaries being the way the are for both teams, literally the only deal they can make is Butler for Beal unless you put together some absurd deal like Butler+low salary filler for damn near every player not named KD/Booker/Beal and that's not remotely realistic. Outside of Phoenix doing something dumb like giving up Booker, Butler to Phoenix isn't happening
