That's a bummer. When I was a kid, I went to his Dick Van Arsdale's Basketball Camps in Arizona 2 years in a row. Had a great time.

That must've been fun. I've been to a few back east when I was a kid too.
Jerry Lucas held one, Earl (the pearl) Monroe did too, as did Calvin Murphy...and so did Bill Russell & John Havlicek among numerous others.

DVA was a NY Knick for his first 3 years in the league btw.

Yes but it didn't matter to LA. Nice moment but it meant nothing. For teams that haven't won a championship, it feels like more...whether they say it or not. It gives them some sort of sense of accomplishment.

I don't understand why teams game plan those into the offense. Pretty much guarantees the shooter will be behind for transition defense on any misses.

If they want to discourage the surge of 3 pt attempts, the league should at least keep the arc consistent and not allow for shorter 3s in the corners.

For 1 thing, even if we ignore the fact that the corner 3 is the highest percentage 3, teams can’t space the court effectively without using the corners.

It would be incredibly stupid not to use the corners.

And another reason why taking away corner 3 would be harmful.
