I think his running numbers will support my thoughts. Kamara never had 1k season and Brob likely to get that this year. Kamara probably the better receiving back but brob will have the advantage in rushing when his career is done

He's going to need longevity to get there. Kamara just joined an exclusive club with his TD this weekend; 50+ rushing TDs and 25+ receiving TDs in a career. Lenny Moore, Marshall Faulk, Christian McCaffrey and now Kamara.

Some of the yardage stats are skewed by the way the Saints use him.

Last night was a good win for the Lakers....Reaves and James were okay and helped but it was AD balling out that sealed that win.

40 points, 16 rebounds, 2 steals and a block.

For sure. A bit scary when he hurt his shoulder in the 3rd, but he was able to come back in the 4th to finish out the game.

Without a doubt but when careers are done people don’t give a shit about how a player was used. They going to look at numbers and make their decision

It's going to be tough for Rob to make a deal with our salary cap situation to get a star but he has to make a minor move or 2 to improve the bench....although I like Vincent's defense. His offense still needs some work....but he is a solid addition to the rotation.

The bench is so bad. And relying on Vanderbilt and Wood to return is just not smart. And they don't improve it a lot.....just a little bit.

That usage may prolong his career, pluses and minuses.

I’m with you for sure. Just saying when both are retired people are just going to look at numbers and I think brob numbers will look better on paper if he stays healthy

Vando would help the defense and rebounding quite a bit. Wood just adds a bit of frontcourt depth shooting really. Randle doesn't have a game like he did last week vs the Lakers if he's not consistently matched up with Rui and other even bigger mismatches if the Lakers actually had Vando to use on him (or even Lebron, who sat that game).

That said, I'm open to moving Vando if it nets a healthy contributor without costing a 1st. He's been out since Feb with a seemingly minor injury.

True but Vandy is on a good deal for a player like him. We need contracts like his and Reaves with Bron and AD taking up so much of the cap space.

That's the question, longevity. So many RBs fall short of a full, long career. Who knows where he ends up after his rookie contract and what his usage will be. Barkley is spiking with the Eagles for example, but that could work both ways. Maybe the Penix era relies on Bijan more, or maybe his role gets reduced, it's a guessing game really. He's obviously a fantastic talent.

Not on a good deal in street clothes is the issue. Plus, if you want to make improvements, it could take contracts like his to get a deal done.

Sure but if he stays healthy.....his contract is a good deal.

Point taken on that 2nd point....But, I would prefer we flip JHS, Reddish and Hayes plus a 2nd or so for a solid rotation player. Koloko makes Hayes expendable.....he is a solid defender and can rebound when needed.....I really like him. He has benefitted from Hayes and even Wood being out.....

Question is, who wants that pu-pu platter for a solid rotation player? Would have to be someone trying to clear cap.

Strange, the first winner is a close second 2nd all time in real championships (and first by a wide margin in my lifetime).

Except for the final, they are regular season games that count. Those don't matter somehow?
Yes but it didn't matter to LA. Nice moment but it meant nothing. For teams that haven't won a championship, it feels like more...whether they say it or not. It gives them some sort of sense of accomplishment.

What a fall from his potential. Who is a team that should take a dice roll on him? Though considering a detail in the story that they might just waive him down the road since he doesn't have guaranteed money, I might just wait it out for a season if I was a team interested

As Charania reported last week, the Pelicans have no desire to waive Williamson despite an injury-marred career. Williamson has played more than 60 games in two out of his first five seasons and is currently out because of a left hamstring strain.
Should New Orleans explore the trade market for Williamson and build around Ingram? The question is valid, especially if the Pelicans are tired of regularly seeing Williamson's name on the injury report. The realization comes with New Orleans needing Williamson to be available if it wants to maximize his value on the court or in a trade.
If they do move him, the Pelicans can acquire expiring contracts and perhaps a future first-round pick. New Orleans can outright release Williamson this summer with no financial obligation.

A true tragedy....

The guy is so talented but he cannot stay away from the Big Macs and stay healthy. The 2 may be related. Gotta take care of your body as a professional athlete....

One of the few who should eat 1k Big Macs a year should be Chet "Toothpick" Holmgren.

Plus those 2 point shots are much more likely to draw fouls. So many 3s are just offensive laziness and forced IMO.

But…

Made shots never yield offensive rebounds. Misses do.

Especially missed 3s that can often lead to longer rebounds.

Yes, that also means more potential for transition.

But I don’t think the math is understated.

Good point on the rebounds, there is a lot more at play here than meets the eye. My point on the math was that 50 percent from 2 results in 0.5 pts per shot while 33.3 percent from 3 results in 0.33 pts per shot. There are only so many shot attempts in a game and I think that gets overlooked.
