It makes me wonder how the likes of Kevin McHale, Karl Malone and even Kareem would get by in this era. I suppose they would just be popping 3’s all day and their true skillsets would never be properly revealed. These were some of the most effective low-post players that I ever saw. Maybe some of them wouldn’t even have a place in today’s game.

To the contrary a lot of players do, half a mil is good money. On the teams with good chemistry the rich players want it for the rest of the team. Thats the Thunder.

Same with the Lakers last year. The guys like Lebron, AD and few others getting good money wanted it for the end of the bench guys.

The players in general seem to be into it, which tends to get fans into it.

Nah, they'd just add the 3 to what they already did well. Kareem, for example, would likely play more like AD where most of his damage is done in the paint, but with 2-4 threes mixed in. Same with McHale. Malone would probably shoot a few more 3's than Kareem or McHale because he had an excellent mid-range game, so it would just be a matter of extending his range a few feet.

He is having a heck of a season lol . Avg 4.5 per carry, going to end up with probably close to 1200+ on the ground, and close to 70 catches. Not sure what more you can ask for out of him
