Everything felt odd that year. My 50th fell during the covid shutdown (April of 2020), so I dodged any embarrassing 50th birthday antics and it came and went with no real recognition. My brother's was this year and the whole family was underplaying it (so I didn't and bought him a guitar).

Was just wondering if it was just me. Nope. Many people feel odd turning 50. Can't even explain it.

I felt odd but like I said that is when I started liking birthdays again. Now I would like to turn 50 again because that ended up being a great year for me. Had my only 2 holes in one on the golf course and ran deep in the worlds biggest poker tourney in a 2 month stretch. I should have been playing the lottery daily but I wasn’t lol.

I guess whoever wins the east is going to be called a "pretender" unless it's Boston.

Meh, some of it is injuries. If the Sixers had Embiid I doubt they're under .500. Bucks aren't that good, but you gotta figure they'll end up over .500 as long as Giannis and Dame stay healthy, even if it's barely over .500.

I don't think I'd consider someone other than Boston coming out of the East as a pretender since they would likely have to go through them to get there.
