JB is kind of an academic type... and while he's also soft-spoken and smiles frequently, he also comes across as having a stick up his arse at times.

It was just a little joke, Jaylen... not even worth commenting on.

Do you think they would be better with Randle instead? Doubt it. They were in trouble when they lost Hartenstein, then lost MtichRob to injury to rub salt in that.
I just don’t think Towns is a winner. Maybe I will be proven wrong.

Who's giving them a top 10 pick? Nobody wants to give Ingram the extension he wants. so it's quite possible he's an injury prone rental.

Their own and they have the bucks 2025 pick

Limiting it to the East is the faint praise. Only 2 teams have a winning record.
It's a good thing they play teams in the west too. They are taking every teams' best shots every game. It's hard enough winning games as it is

Not taking anything from the Cavs. Just said that calling them one of the best in the East so far Is faint praise.

If you want to look deeper, they've played 2 teams that have winning records as of today (Lakers and Warriors), and the Lakers haven't been very good really either). They've won games they should win, which is half the battle.

Over the last week, Ja, Zion, KD, and now Chet all out for extended periods. Adam Silver needs to go into the settings menu and turn off injuries

Not really. They were 4th/5th in the east last year and that was with a defensive minded coach that didn't have any clue what he was doing with the offense or usage of players.

Winning records really doesn't mean much at this point in the season. Do we really think Milwaukee is getting a top 3 pick? They crushed those teams too.

To compare, OKC playing in the west only played 3 teams over .500 and two of those teams are 6-4. One was considered a lottery team, one a borderline playoff team.

Faint praise for any team that is winning or losing

Loved this from Chet. “Don’t feel bad for me, there are a lot of people out there with real problems that don’t heal”.

Followed that up with another trip doub last night (19p/16a/10r) last night.

Apparently Poeltl is doing his best to not get traded to LA. He poked AD in the eye in the 3rd, putting him out for the game. Later in the 4th he fouled James hard, who was slow getting up.

Or....maybe that's his case for being traded to the Lakers...to protect AD and Lebron from him. lol

After last season I thought I would never see this Garland again. Coaching and confidence matters

I mean the guy went from arguably the worst starter in the league to an all star then played at that level the following season with the last coach. Thinking last year just an aberration. That broken jaw was no joke (along with off court issues).

Best free throw shooter in history. We didn't know how spoiled we were watching that golden era of basketball. Sports has gotten worse since than.
Might be my favorite group of Cavs players (this team is approaching). So wish they could have gotten it done over the one that did.

I mean, to be fair, had Orlando and NY beaten us they'd be over .500....but no doubt the East looks pretty bad so far.

NY struggles are surprising. They have two new guys but we were hearing all offseason how the Nova boys had chemistry so it was a seamless fit. Not so much.

Bucks just suck but they aren't bottom 3 bad.

The Bucks and Sixers playing so bad, some injuries and Knicks/Heat regressing really makes the east weak right now.

I guess whoever wins the east is going to be called a "pretender" unless it's Boston.

I guess Philly starts slow a lot then comes on later so that could happen. Maybe Bucks could IF Middleton ever returns. But does seem like they made deals for name guys without thinking about fit.

How dare the league want multi-millionaires to play to earn their salaries and give the fans what they paid for.

Easy fix: all salaries are paid game by game. You sit, your paycheck shows it.
Show up, play lazy, get paid.

There are too many games.

There are consequences for the decisions they make. No waving it away. No hiding from it. They don't play 200 games, they don't play double headers like AAU. They could but they don't because it's a business decision. A business decision with the accompanying consequences. If they don't need 200 then they don't need 80. They need how ever many games these guys will play hard for to maximize the product to the fans.
