Another guy the Rams should hunt down is a snooperbowl winning Tackle from the Iggles of none other than Mekhi Becton who is a Pro Bowler benemonth that would take care of our Tackle needs. He is 6'7, 363lbs and he was one of the guys who allowed Barkley to run free most of the season.

Shit if the ShitferBrains Twins what blow a bunch of money, the Rams should call Becton's agent and steal him from Philadelphia. It amazes me, the Twins can throw away cap space money by cutting Kupp but can't put together a package to get a guy like Becton!!
Becton played Tackle for the Jets and was horrible. The Eagles moved him to Guard and he was a mauler. Eagles have a great O-Line coach, so maybe he changed his technique or he is just better inside. This guy is a giant and will get paid big time.

Demarcus Robinson has left the Rams for the Whiners. Now we have three not so happy ex-Rams in the NFC West we have to play twice a year going forward: Earnest Jones with the Seahags and now Demarcus Robinson and Tre Tomlinson with the Whiners.

I didn't see this coming. I wanted to see D-Rob on the field with Adams.

Well, if the Rams are not going to sign a FA O-Tackle, here is a list of Draft Behemoths that should fit the bill if not one maybe two. This Draft is loaded with O and D-Lineman that are just HUGE, big, fast, and badass!!

The Rams have just announced that Kupp will be released on Wednesday, barring any last minute trade. This is just horrific. Somebody is going to get a decent WR for nothing. Way to go, ShitferBrains Twins!!! We may get comps picks for Kupp, Brown, and Hoecht. But we shall see.

I don't think you get comp picks for released players, just FA signings. Poona probably counters Brown and Hoecht.

Well, the ShitferBrains Twins are at it again. They not only overpaid for Adams, but they gave him a $12 million dollar signing bonus. Nacua is going to give-up his number 17 so Adams can wear it and Nacua is going back to his college number of 12. What a joke.

Adams' cap hit for 2025 is $14M. How is that overpaying?

I am not sure if it is a discretionary thing with players that walk and /or are released during the FA period or how it is determined. I don't ever recall seeing the procedure or thought process of how comp picks are determined by Goddell. I think there is the reason for that because if GMs knew, then they would def manipulate the system to their own and the team's advantage, for sure!

The market value for his kind of receiver I recently read should be in the neighborhood of $8-$12 million per season. You can do the math and you'll come to the answer.

Rams re-sign WR Tutu Atwell (1 year, $10 million): D Grade

I don’t understand this deal. It’d be bad enough if it was just $10 million for a season, but this contract is fully guaranteed. That’s right – Tutu Atwell is somehow getting $10 million fully guaranteed for one season!

The Rams could have obtained a similar receiver for about a quarter of the funds, so I almost have to wonder if there’s some sort of money laundering involved. Speaking of which, you can get our great Money Laundering t-shirt here. The colors even line up for Atwell!

The only reason this contract isn’t a Millen grade is because it’s for just one year, so there aren’t major long-term ramifications. Plus, Atwell knows the offense, which has to count for something.

Rams Rams re-sign OT Alaric Jackson (3 years, $57 million): A- Grade

The Rams had a great Friday. Not only did they learn that Matthew Stafford would be returning to the team; the front office also re-signed its top free agent, Alaric Jackson, to a $57 million contract.

Retaining Stafford without Jackson would have been foolish. Jackson provides Stafford with some terrific blind-side protection. Jackson isn’t as good of a run blocker, but he’s not a liability in that regard. What’s important is that Jackson can keep Stafford healthy, which gives the Rams a chance to make a deep run into the playoffs once again. The price is fair but not a bargain, so this won’t quite be an “A” grade.

I don't understand the issue with guaranteeing a 1 year contract. What are the odds that he was going to be cut midseason?

Atwell knows the system, familiar with Stafford (and vice versa) and agreed to the one year deal. I'm sure the one year deal prompted the salary bump to $10M.

I think that's drastically underestimating what Adams has left.

You might be right, Shopson. Obviously the Rams agree with you but I was just providing posts that reflect the present FA market projected values for aging WRs. It is always easy to kill the messenger, I suppose. lol.

I didn't see this coming. I wanted to see D-Rob on the field with Adams.

His odds plummeted with the Adams and Atwell signings. Bringing him back would've buried Whittington on the depth chart again, which I don't think they want to do.

D-Rob was a beneficiary of Kupp and Nacua drawing all the coverage. He didn't step up when they missed time, so I don't think he's a necessary player. He had some key TDs of course, but often because he was the forgotten man in the coverage.

Not killing anyone, just discussing.

At the core, compensatory picks are awarded to teams with net spending losses in free agency. The greater the net loss, the higher the compensatory pick award will be.

The biggest reason the Rams let Robinson go was due to complicaions that apparently have resulted because of his DUI arrest. Thos complications are troublesome and contributed to the Twins letting him walk. Snead mentioned this in his weekly podcast with the Rams insider marketing/media department.

Now I want to see what the Rams do with Kendricks because he has bigger issues along legality constraints than Robinson has/had because Kendricks had a felony charge with that hidden gun issue last year. Tif they violate their own standards for releasing a player by keeping Kendricks, than I know for sure the Twins are full of bullshit!

Well, it's a sad day and it is official. The Rams have released Cooper Kupp. Fortunately for Kupp, he is probably going to walk across the hall to the Chargers locker room and he'll play for them this coming season. If that is the case and as usual, it will be weird seeing Kupp in SoFi Stadium in a Chargers Uni!!

The Rams got out of paying Kupp $12 million large for various asundry items like a Roster Bonus among other things.

Here is the explanation of alot of things with FA period including the comp picks we may see. Out of the Rams FAs left, I suspect Witherspoon, Rivers, Gallimore, Tyler Johnson, McDermott, and Hummel will be re-signed with the Rams. I also suspect perhaps Murchison may re-up as well. But we shall see.
