BTW, any one of those teams may also want Kupp to go with Stafford. There could be additional picks given-up by the Rams to get the trade done and to get another First Rounder.
I don’t understand the Rams having to give up picks to trade Stafford and Kupp.

There are teams that need a QB, and this years class is considered weak in that department.

If the Rams don’t get a 1st for trading Stafford in a weak QB class, they are stupid for 1) trading him and 2) getting less than they should.

If a team wants Kupp, then they should be willing to trade for him without the Rams giving up anything ( unless it’s to get a higher pick ).

Here is my 2 cents on the Stafford situation.

1) don’t trade him for anything less than a 1st rounder at the very least.

2) if they don’t trade him, make him play out the contract he already signed and still has 2 years left on.

What is he going to do, sit out the season at his age? It would be very stupid of him to do so. It will not look good for him and will come off as a ME first guy who is only about the money.

If I’m the Rams FO, that’s what I would do. Sign JG for another season and roll with him if Stafford does intend to sit out the season.

I am tired of the Rams FO caving and playing nice guy by getting way less in trades to placate their players preferred destination, or paying way too much to resign players way before their contract is up.

This way of doing business has to stop. Belicheat knew it, and ran his team that way. It’s about the team, not one player.

Stafford is number 2 on the all-time NFL money list. The only guy (barely) above him is Rodgers and that's because he's four years older. Stafford makes 2 to 4mil per year in endorsements off the field.
Be a team player and cut the crap. But as we now know, it's not about the team, it's all about him getting all he can even though he has a contract in place. The NFL should change the rules and not allow this kind of thing to happen, it makes the league look stupid. What good is a contract if halfway through they demand more? I bet Brock Purdy would love to have been able to do something like this, but he can't because it's a rookie deal? How about Verse and Fiske? They can't get more and they certainly outplayed their contracts... Makes no sense.

Well guys, when have you known the ShitferBrains Twins to EVER get the market value in trading players?? Both of you could name player after player these two dimwits have undersold in order to move them, like Goff, Brockers, Gurley, Ramsey, White, Cooks, Everett, certainly Jones and now they will probably do the same with Stafford and Kupp. If the Limp Biscuit would step-in right about now and tell them both, "That's Enough" then MAYBE things would change. But don't hold your breaths!!

My update feelings on the Stafford situation.

If he is serious about winning a Super bowl, then staying with the Rams is in his best interest. If the Rams are serious about winning a Super Bowl, then keep Stafford is in the best interest of the team. Parting makes no sense for either side. Why trade Stafford and go out an get an older QB in Aaron Rodgers? Stafford is better than Rodgers right now. Same with Kirk Cousins. Stafford is better. The only way I see Rams and Stafford parting ways is because Stafford left to get paid. If he wants to win, he sure as hell won't do that in New York or Las Vegas; the Giants & Raiders are the two most mentioned teams as landing spots for Stafford should be traded because they have large cap space. The Steelers are also a rumored landing spot too but they lack offensive weapons.

To me, the Rams and Stafford need to mend this. He is our best option at remaining competitive over the next few seasons. Extend him and then find a replacement in the next offseason. Draft someone and let them watch.

Well, he is a top 10 QB but is not paid like the one. Lawrence, Cousins, Prescott, Tua, Herbert are all making more than him and Stafford is better than those guys. He's making 27mil, they are making 50 plus. That is where the issue is. Like it or not, that's the dispute. I understand your point but I don't see a way the NFL can make a player play out the contract.
