On the radar again
Was funny when Mitch would hit a home run or something like that and DT would post about Mitch hitting a “crawler killer” to the bullpen or right field.
I don't remember this. However, it points out how much Sir saddles is our rudder-in-the-water of all things Ranger!........Thanks........Mitch was seldom a terrific player, but regardless of team or circumstance, I don't think he ever cheated himself, the organization or it's fandom. With Mitch, you got 100% I think, and it served him and us quite well really.Ahh remember you mentioning—- an oldie but a goody
From the old Frankenstein movies..........'He's alive, he's alive!'Was funny when Mitch would hit a home run or something like that and DT would post about Mitch hitting a “crawler killer” to the bullpen or right field.
Did he ever!!! He disliked him at the plate and I never understood that. Mitch was a HR threat and a doubles machine.Did you have a vendetta against him? It's hard to keep track of all of them.
And he was very good defensively.Did he ever!!! He disliked him at the plate and I never understood that. Mitch was a HR threat and a doubles machine.

You mention Cruz. He cost us a WS not Mitch.I felt like he was the weak link of our lineup and he wasn’t good enough to be on the 2010 and 2011 World Series teams. He also ranked near the bottom in the AL at the time in first base / DH production.
we had studs like Michael young, kinsler, beltre all over the infield and Hamilton / cruz in the outfield but we chose to “skimp” on arguably the easiest position to fill with a good to great hitter while trying to win World Series? Having a healthy prince fielder or abreu probably wouldve helped a lot.
he would always get hurt when we were relying on him during those World Series years and he would never be replaced or lose his spot. I also thought he wasn’t good enough to keep his spot after being injured so damn much.

Wash cost us the game. He should’ve put endy Chavez in as a defensive replacement. You mention Cruz. He cost us a WS not Mitch.
He had one big hit. The giants pretty much suffocated our hitting all series long so it made little difference.Mitch was always solid in the WS, the way I remember it. In fact, he and Colby are the reasons the franchise got their first WS game victory.
He went 6 for 13 in that WS in 2010. In the ALCS that preceded it he went 7 for 18. He had some problems hitting during the regular season at times and in other postseasons, but in those two series in 2010 he was great. He had one big hit. Either way, was not Mitch. He did his part.Wash cost us the game. He should’ve put endy Chavez in as a defensive replacement.
