After 2 missed bullpen sessions and after he missed throwing a batting practice, he is scheduled to get things back underway.
Sounds great. Good things coming.

Do you guys watch the spring training games live? I seem to recall the tv options being bad for them. I usually just check the box scores and try to catch YouTube highlights.
Some of them aren't even on mlb audio.

thanks. That schedule is really nice because the spring training games are so unpredictable.

the first 2 weekend games are both radio and tv.

Evan Grant was asked who has stood out so far in the early days of camp. Here is what he had to say.

Jack Leiter: He made a couple of tweaks to his delivery over the winter to shorten his arm stroke and maybe get down the mound a little more efficiently. He’s looked sharp in his bullpens and a live BP session that drew the eyes of manager Bruce Bochy.

Chase Lee: The side arm reliever’s funky delivery makes him a tantalizing potential addition to a staff full of hard throwers. Lee was on a sharp rise at Double-A last year, but hit a little bit of a bump after going to Round Rock. His first couple of throwing sessions have been impressive with his ability to work the ball exactly where he wants it.

Cole Ragans: Remember that day way back when that the Rangers sent him over from minor league camp to follow around Cole Hamels? It felt a little bit like a forced educational experience. This year, with a bit of experience, he’s more organically searching out help. He’s had several visible peer-to-peer conversations with Andrew Heaney, Nathan Eovaldi and Martín Pérez. He looks like someone who wants to make the best of the resources available to him instead of a kid following instructions.

Ricky Vanasco: Truth be told, I don’t pay close attention to a lot of bullpens. They are just physical exercises more than anything else. So, I never feel really good about “evaluating” them. But I do have some curiosity about Vanasco coming off a somewhat sluggish return season from Tommy John and he happened to be throwing on a mound closest to where I could really observe the other day. All I can tell you is the ball came out hot. And I guess I wasn’t the only one to notice. Mike Maddux sought him out after the workout to praise it as well.

Kumar Rocker: In the bullpen, it can look like Rocker has no lower-half involvement in his delivery and that he’s simply slinging the ball. But then you stand behind home plate and watch the delivery and it seems nice and smooth with more drive than you thought. Also, I know guys came away from his live batting practice session on Tuesday raving about how hard it was to pick up the stuff. Big man. Throws hard. Comes from a different angle.

With the renewal of the crackdown on sticky stuff and the end of the shift, Joey Gallo should have his best year yet. Lol

Just think there has to be an emergency catcher on roster unless you just loser the DH in case of injury

Who knows there still cold be a trade or pick ahead but yeah EG roster may be fairly accurate

You don’t need the sticky stuff or the shift to get Gallo out.
