Still not sure why the Raps traded for Kelly O and then traded for Dinwiddie but plan on buying out Dinwiddie.

Simultaneously tanking and pushing for the playoffs. 3D chess to a new level...

The Blazers are signing Ashton Hagans to a 10 day contract. Been playing for their G-League team.

Mavs going all in to try to avoid Luka wanting out:

Team whose top two contracts are essentially PGs signs another PG. OK I guess?

Good acquisitions, just not sure how much Thibs will use them.

C'mon Man.

Hahaha...you really think Leon Rose didn't go through the dynamics of the trade with Thibs before they agreed to do it?
I'm sure they were, and are on the same page when it comes to strategy regarding the roster moving forward.

Yeah, and Randle and OG are both injured.

Thibs is a good coach and will make it work.

Similar thing happened to a friend of a friend just out of high school. Stopped to help someone out late night ona snowy road and got hit by a car, went into a coma. Luckily he had a full recovery.
Doesn’t sound like he did much wrong

Yes, and despite major injuries to some key role players the Lakers are still in a great position to make the playoffs.

Gabe, Vando, Reddish and Hachimura have all missed significant time.
Everyone has injuries. Maybe not to the degree the Lakers have had this season, but what got Ham into hot water with his players is his rotations that had little or no reason to them. When he went back to the starting five that were the most productive last year, the five that got the Lakers to the WCF, everyone started playing better like Reaves and DRuss as the most obvious examples. This was evident on both ends of the floor.

When he did stupid shit like starting people like Hayes and Prince over say DRuss, Reaves, Vanderbilt, and Hachimura, he just got the team nearly tanking games in a quiet protest and that is what alot of people got their undies in a wad over. Now that Ham has gone retro, his team is back to playing like they did a year ago.

He is also better utilizing pretty darn good players like Wood (on both ends of the court) who was not being used effectively and not playing very much. Before he got his nose broken, the same pattern was developing with Hachimura and even Vanderbilt who now is going to be out with an injury because Ham was playing Prince way too much over other players that may have been better in the starting role during those injuries.

This issue is not just Ham. It is/was a multifaceted issue and things are getting back to last year's production and locker room culture!

Just saw where Micic was also part of the Heyward trade. This rids the Thunder of 8 mil a year for the next 2 years. That combined with Hayward’s contract dropping off will for sure have them under the cap at seasons end. I had hoped they would turn Micic into more than this but it is what it is. Heyward is a veteran who could help a little without messing with chemistry at all.

Bobby Marks ripping on the Pistons as losers of the deadline, @Stakesarehigh.

As well as the Bulls and Hawks.

That is such a basic way of looking at it.

There was no reason for them to keep Bojan or Burks. They turned that into an asset and some 2nd rounders.

They ate a deal for another 2nd

They traded an expiring for two young wings on restricted deals

Releasing Hayes is irrelevant to this deadline. That hit is years old.

Is it me or did the Pisstones quietly rake in some draft assets while ridding the team of potential deadweight??
