Not sure why that sucks to say as may be more taking it than anything. I mean, Allen seems like he can hit a 10-18 footer if needed and lately he has needed to take some. No reason to think Mobley cannot start hitting those. The 3s? Not sure I see that happening anytime soon.
Bc he hasn't improved outside of 5 feet. Could take 5-6 years but you would like to see a little progression every year.

It's more than shooting, everyone but the center can create their own shot and moving without the ball. Not saying the offense is BETTER but it seems to be flowing better and nice chemistry.
Bickerstaff has to find a way to get those shooters involved off the bench and somehow get Allen and Mobley their minutes where everything is flowing. Not an easy task. Obviously, another first round bounce and changes will be made- who knows though but they will need to progress this year to keep Mitchell.
Problem is are they better than the top 3. Patience is still needed, I mean Boston-Tatum and Brown haven't only been to one Finals in how many years of making the playoffs? 6 years. Cavs have one year of experience in the playoffs with Mitchell, Garland these young guys. Definitely need to be patient

it feels like the universe is going in a Cavs Knicks rematch direction

Now that he gets the ball more doesn't it seem like Allen can create his own shot when needed? Initiate the offense? Would think Mobley could be even better.

I think many forget the teams ahead of us in the East (as well as Denver) have had their star and been building around him since before Lebron went back to LA. a lot to be said for your last comments.....those teams also have many of their best players in their prime. Other than Mitchell our guys are year away.

The guy is among 3 players averaging 16 or more ppg, 10 or more rpg and hitting 57% of their shots. along with his elite D.

I mean, hard to think any player can be another Giannis and he's no different but he had a far better year 2 season than him and year 3 season on par. Guessing if he were on a bad team he could be a 20-10 guy. Glad he's not.

That’s highway robbery and I’m seriously pissed if Morey doesn’t pick up the phone and beat this.

It's not really a robbery. Murray is becoming overrated by a lot of people. His defense is not near as good as people think it is. He is not a good shooter. He's shooting well from 3 this year, but that's an outlier. If you look over the course of his career, he's anywhere from a bad to below average shooter. He made 1 all star team putting up stats on a bad team, its not like he's an all star talent that keeps getting left out teams because the league is full of talent (think Mike Conley in his prime). He's really just a marginal upgrade over D'lo, mostly because D'lo is prone to some very low IQ passes and decisions that ruin the offense at the worst possible time. If anything, the deal might be a little steep for the Lakers. A 1st round pick with limited to no protections AND a swap is a bit much.

But yeah, even if the deal isn't a robbery and more in line with fair value, Philly should have pieces to top it. Or they rightly view Murray for what he is and have concerns with him pairing him with Maxey

Whose gone.

Yeah it’s basically, the nets can’t tank and it’s hard to play dinwiddie and Claxton and Simmons together in any form spacing wise (even 2 of them is tough)

So getting a shooter at pg could be better for them short term

I couldn’t disagree more on the player. I think he’s a perfect pairing with Maxey with both having experience being on ball and off ball players. Murray is long at 6’5’’ which is a better pairing than Melton to run with Maxey. I can’t see his shooting numbers decreasing when he assimilates to being a 3rd option and being able to get open looks based on the attention others garner.

Not sure why Wild Turkey doesn't like him but I agree.

expiring (the reason they don't want DLo - or at least one reason - is his player option)

Exactly

Like I said, dinwiddie and Joe Harris the best salary matches for players who teams don’t care about and are expiring.

We know bc Duncan Robinson is untouchable

I wonder if this means money or picks

Caruso is an intersting fit there

Murray costs a lot less than lowry and they don’t have great matching salary beyond that

Now, that would be a good trade for them.

He is the definition of Heat Culture.
