Forget about the damn Lakers Atlanta. They aren’t going to let you in the cool kids club just because you help them.

Defensively he is.

He isn’t Vanderbilt bad on offense.

But, he isn’t an amalgamation of Rui and Vandy either, which is what they need.

I'm fine with Vandy's offense as long as they stop playing him at the same time with other offensively impaired players (like Reddish). Should not be on the floor together unless it's for a short stint to focus on getting stops.

I have my happy and disappointed GIF's all picked out for this trade deadline. Hoping it's the happy one of course.
If you get Spencer “DinSHITTY “ which one you pulling out?

Would DFS being in the deal change anything?

Going for 7 in a row without Garland and Mobley. LeVert out tonight. Their depth is definitely a lot better this year and they have a plethora of shooters. I just hope they can play to their ceiling with Garland and Mobley back too. The issue is with Mobley and Allen in that is two guys who can’t shoot. All their lineups now with the injuries include 4 shooters. Makes a huge difference and Mobley’s defensive presence is great but it doesn’t seem like their overall defense is hurting. Offense better for the most part.

So I hope we see this team when Garland comes back and Mobley is out. See how they play and lineups. It might not be the combo of Mitchell and Garland more so the Allen-Mobley combo and lack of shooting. That would be a big problem
That lack of shooting thing is way overblown. I mean, we had a top 10 offense and defense last season with them and that was without Strus, Niang, TT, Merrill and CPJ.

In fact - and this surprised me - before you or someone says "what about the playoffs".... as bad as we were in that series (games 3 on) the 2 man combo with Mobley and Allen on the floor was a net positive in points scored and given up.

I just hope for a couple things....we can be whole and get enough time together before the deadline to know what, if anything, needs to be done. I also hope we keep moving the ball around like we have as I think Mobley can help run the O like Allen has been doing at times and he may even be better at it.

Cavs with another great defensive performance. Jarret Allen at 15 ppg, 10 rpg, 3 apg and playing defense at an extremely high level.

Strus, Niang, and Merrill have been some nice shooting options they did not have last year.
Yep...exactly what we were lacking in the NY series. Maybe what we needed more was Strus ability to box out and get rebounds himself. Our guards were terrible in that regard.

Reddish played well last night, first night back from his injury. I'd rather they use Christie, but Cam has his moments.
Especially on defense. He has played better than I thought he would but his offense is pretty inconsistent.

It wouldn't for me. l'm hoping the Dinwiddie rumors are only as a third team to send him to Atlanta for DLo.
That is what I was thinking. And as an expiring the Hawks could turn around and flip him to a team looking for cap relief. if they get it done soon.

I could see them keeping him or trading him out.

Sucks to say it might all depend on Mobley forming into something more and show some sort of fairly consistent jumpshot
Not sure why that sucks to say as may be more taking it than anything. I mean, Allen seems like he can hit a 10-18 footer if needed and lately he has needed to take some. No reason to think Mobley cannot start hitting those. The 3s? Not sure I see that happening anytime soon.

It's more than shooting, everyone but the center can create their own shot and moving without the ball. Not saying the offense is BETTER but it seems to be flowing better and nice chemistry.
Bickerstaff has to find a way to get those shooters involved off the bench and somehow get Allen and Mobley their minutes where everything is flowing. Not an easy task. Obviously, another first round bounce and changes will be made- who knows though but they will need to progress this year to keep Mitchell.
Problem is are they better than the top 3. Patience is still needed, I mean Boston-Tatum and Brown haven't only been to one Finals in how many years of making the playoffs? 6 years. Cavs have one year of experience in the playoffs with Mitchell, Garland these young guys. Definitely need to be patient
