Wife's daughter brought over some moonshine when she picked up little Demetrius last night....

Fuck that devil's brew.
Nothing wrong with a little shine. I got a buddy always making new flavors.

So Murray is going sooner rather than later. The Sixers don’t have a young player on a solid contract for the Hawks to get started on a rebuild around Trae and Jalen Johnson. They don’t have guys like Rui or Reaves to send. The best the Sixers can do is send picks and expiring contracts to help them get out from under guys who are locked up but don’t fit the Hawks future. This clears like $57 million per year in cap for the next 4 years. They may value that.

I really don’t know what their plan is. I read that everyone is on the block except for Johnson and Young. If they’re just trying to move current pieces for better pieces that fit this isn’t in their wheel house. I’ve seen them linked to Siakam. I just don’t know how he fits there as a subpar 3 pt shooter around Trae/Capella pick and roll. But if they want to go that route the only role the Sixers could play is as a third team facilitator for some smaller aspect of the deal.

However, if they want to strip it down to the bare bones and start over freeing them from $240 million of future cap swapping out 4 and 5 year contracts for expiring salary then this kind of thing would fit.

You could remove Boggy or Hunter from the deal as well as Marcus Morris on the Sixers end if the Hawks want to keep one of them for either another deal or because they think he fits elsewhere in another deal to get assets.

Man, that’s gotta be so rough. They remind me of Process era Sixers squads but in the Sixers case they were trying to be bad. Coming into the year the Pistons thought they had some of their future pieces already there.

@Mecca saw you tag me in something similar.

The only role I want the Sixers to play here is as a facilitating third team. Siakam doesn’t fit as the third piece to go around Embiid/Maxey. You also have to resign him. Dude can’t shoot from distance so he can’t space the floor to facilitate the two man game of Embiid/Maxey. Dare I say, Tobias Harris is a better piece for this group than Siakam. Siakam is a step backward in my opinion. The Sixers have one big move left for the Embiid prime. This ain’t it. Harris is likely the better defender over Siakam and Harris is a better 3 pt shooter.

Everybody here should be rooting for Siakam to the Sixers because you’re going to see a hilarious lose my shit melt down on here if the Sixers get Siakam. Not a fan of the defense but if the Sixers are looking for a name big wing like Siakam they should be kicking the tires on Lauri Markkanen who is 39% or better from 3 in 3 of the last 4 seasons.

That is about 85% on Killian Hayes there.

Teams drill this. Same guy always takes the ball out after a make. It is usually one of the bigs.

Hayes is supposed to leave that ball alone.

Now, I did not say 100%, because they big needs to remember to take the ball out and be more situationally aware.

But Hayes can’t throw the ball to the take out guy who is running back toward the baseline to do his job.

This is the right fit for Siakam. He would thrive around the gravity the defense gives to Luka and Kyrie. He’d give the group some solid rebounding as well. I just don’t know the Mavs asset situation if they have enough to get this done relative to what other teams can offer.

They don't.

The Raps won't want Hardaway, Holmes and Kleber for him.
