I don’t think the deal happens without the raptors valuing grant
They might. He can defend and rebound.

But, the Mavs would have to include a 1st and a pick swap most likely.

I don't know.

I think there is a team option on Hardaway next season so if the Raps took him back they could decline it

@Mecca saw you tag me in something similar.

The only role I want the Sixers to play here is as a facilitating third team. Siakam doesn’t fit as the third piece to go around Embiid/Maxey. You also have to resign him. Dude can’t shoot from distance so he can’t space the floor to facilitate the two man game of Embiid/Maxey. Dare I say, Tobias Harris is a better piece for this group than Siakam. Siakam is a step backward in my opinion. The Sixers have one big move left for the Embiid prime. This ain’t it. Harris is likely the better defender over Siakam and Harris is a better 3 pt shooter.

Everybody here should be rooting for Siakam to the Sixers because you’re going to see a hilarious lose my shit melt down on here if the Sixers get Siakam. Not a fan of the defense but if the Sixers are looking for a name big wing like Siakam they should be kicking the tires on Lauri Markkanen who is 39% or better from 3 in 3 of the last 4 seasons.
Oh, I’m definitely rooting for this to happen.

He’s your Sloth Harden move.

Let the meltdown begin…lol

Maybe if they think they can flip Harris somewhere
Then I think they’d choose another deal. The only value Harris and Morris have is as expiring deals for a team that wants to clear space. My proposed move is really about:
1. 2 firsts and 2 seconds
2. Expiring contracts of $39 mil and $17 mil together or separately depending upon what fits their needs.

Eric Pincus had a deal the other day that I liked but obviously you can scrap it now that Smart is hurt for 6 weeks

Grizzlies get: Rui Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, Jaxson Hayes, Harry Giles III, Top-10 protected 2029 first-rounder (via LAL), Trade exceptions ($8.3 million, $2.4 million and $1.9 million)

Lakers get: Marcus Smart, Luke Kennard, John Konchar, Xavier Tillman Sr., Dorian Finney-Smith, Trade exception ($10.5 million)

Nets get: D'Angelo Russell, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Trade exceptions ($14 million, $2 million)

I don't see why the Nets would do it though. Trade exception is nice but you'd think they'd want some picks (either a 1st round swap or some 2nds) because DFS should fetch than something (though JHS could be a nice piece if he pans out). Only issue for the Lakers is it basically leaves them with zero front court scoring other than AD, but they'd greatly increase their defense with Smart and DFS while also getting some shooting.
It’s a shit deal for the Nets.

But, I see why YOU would like it…lol

Almost a solid comparison. As much as you hate Sloth, (And I’m not gonna even attempt to talk you out of that Sports Hate for the guy) I called the shot that he’s a great fit around Kawhi/PG13 in his ability to get them better shots and what he does to make the half court offense better. Siakam is like the worst fit in the world for the Embiid/Maxey pairing. It doesn’t enhance it. It isn’t even a net constant in value. He actually makes this group worse.
Harris is the better defender AND the better distance shooter. Almost Sloth Harden situation but not quite there.

I would give a meltdown for the ages.

Well those picks maybe, maybe just cover Murray

And the Hawks will laugh Morey off the phone since they can get a way better deal than that poo poo platter.

Philly has another first they could add, and probably would need to make the deal happen

That would actually make flipping Harris easier

Send him to Phoenix for swap rights

Like the clippers and rockets did last year

That is assuming the Hawks just want picks. They can get a better player or 2 back plus draft picks.

Heck, the Lakers could offer Russell and Hachimura for Murray and Bog plus the '29 1st rounder, a pick swap in '30 and a few 2nd rounders. They get Russell who could be flipped as an expiring contract next season and a solid young player.

Or if the Lakers are really serious....Reaves, Hachimura, Prince and the aforementioned picks.

Over MM's corpse and a bunch of picks.

I wouldn’t value ang of those guys besides reaves as the hawks

I’d rather clear out the salary, trade capela and reload around trae and okung and JJ

But, we don't know what Atlanta wants to do. If they want a bunch of draft picks to do a reset around the trio you mentioned or some players and draft picks to still try and be in the 7-10 range.

Probably right. The value is in the picks and the cap space. I can sit here all day and say this is the way the Hawks should be thinking but that doesn’t mean it’s a good organization. For instance, swapping out the spare parts around Trae for guys like Rui and Reaves is just shuffling deck seats on the Titanic. Players like Reaves and Rui aren’t good enough to change the trajectory of the Trae Young Hawks.
