In June…before I saw what Maxey take another leap. I assumed they needed to do something to show Embiid they were serious post Harden. Things change quickly. It’s weird that you remember shit from June and July but conveniently forget the numerous anti LaVine posts I’ve made over the last 6 weeks he was being linked to the Sixers. I guess that stuff can happen when a person is touched.

I don't know. Laker fans love Caruso. If I could get Carter in the deal without giving up Reaves, I think that's the better path. There will be other interest in Caruso, so I doubt he would be available in such a deal.

Without there being competing interest in LaVine (maybe the Sixers?), the Lakers should push to keep as much draft capital and key rotation players out of the deal (or just avoid it altogether preferably).

Yeah, it’s kinda similar to the Harden situation, sans the strippers, quitting and overall slothness.

Harden, Maxey, Melton, Pat Bev…there hasn’t been minutes for him. When he’s gotten minutes he’s shown that his offense is a work in progress but that he’s already a plus NBA level defender both on ball and off ball. He needs time to develop his offensive upside.
