Another change I would like to see in the IST is the groups. I think mixing up 1 or 2 of the groups with east and west teams would be cool. We don't need East vs West in the finals here.

Like teams like Miami, Charlotte, Orlando, and Atlanta can be in a group with teams like Memphis/Minny

Teams like Chicago, Cleveland, Indy, and Milwaukee can be in a group with the texas teams for example

It's a scheduling thing. Since these are regular league games, making keeping teams at least in their own conference if not their division gives more options on the schedule.

When is the parade?
Knew this was coming. Bathe in your hatred lol. Same deal as the lockdown title. If it's the Lakers, it doesn't count. If the Pacers win (and Heat win the finals in 2020), suddenly it's real and of course it's important.

When did i ever say anything about the 2020 title? You just make shit up.

I have actually said multiple times previously that the bucks title carried way more of a fluke/asterisk type of title than the 2020 bubble season

Lebron and the Pacers have a long history. A long history of Lebron dominating them. Different players but other than competing and the prize-this one means much more than that to the Pacers. Between Cleveland and Miami, Indiana fans probably hate Lebron.

Makes sense why @HurricaneDij39 dislikes him with a passion
As I've said repeatedly over the last decade, it's got absolutely nothing to do with the Pacers. It's that he's had to jump to multiple teams to do what he's done. He cares more about the business aspect than he does for the integrity of the game.

Hell of a Saturday as a fan. Syracuse beats G'town, Dodgers get Otani, Lakers beat the Pacers.

And as for my parade comment, i would have said that about any team who won this. I was never a big fan of this thing. Not everything is about the lakers

Speaking in general, not necessarily directly at you (obviously, since Heat were also in that finals). The over rhetoric, so to speak. Probably should've just posted and not quoted.

As a laker fan I don’t like the whole thing doesn’t change since they won

That's where you're wrong. It's ALWAYS about LA. :heh:

Sort of like you having multiple teams you are a fan of

You know what, it very well might be. And it wouldn’t be a bad Finals either
I'm good w/ the enthusiasm but worried these Nuggets starters are going to become gassed by the time the postseason arrives due to Malone's complete inability to manage a bench.

Not everyone can fall into a situation like LA or Bird in Boston. Or Duncan getting a fluke SA top pick. MJ definitely has that over Lebron but he may have never left if he was drafted to a market that could draw free agents. It's funny how it's "lacking integrity" when a player makes a power move but ownership dumping a dude or trading him and making his family relocate is part of it all

I didn't like the idea and absolutely hate the courts. It's been the exact opposite of a distraction for the Lakers, not sure how it has impacted other teams. Until this week, it was just games on weird colored courts more or less. I do think they don't need to force it to complete this early in the season, and the thin schedule this week was a weird choice.

It was a Smashing success for year one.

It was 1000 times better than it had any right to be. It was interesting and fun for the fans and players.
I was personally cynical, and expected it to be a complete flop.

But, instead it was the exact opposite of my rather limited and negative expectations.
It was Great to see players compete with all their efforts to win something in December, rather than just sleepwalking through the grind.

Of course.....Now, Lebron haters will do everything humanly possible to try and devalue this tournament because his team won it.

Yeah the stand alone games didnt do it for me in terms of making me feel like i had to watch. I treated it like a random game in November. Tune in for the first quarter then check back in for the 2nd half. Im curious to see the ratings for this week to see if it had positive impact on casual fans
