I would imagine no team wanted to pay it- especially for a guy shooting 40% from the field---- if you get 10.5 shots per game and are playing 31 minutes a night- you are gonna score points in the NBA- but you are likely a fairly significant net negative.

Just for instance- the Cavs 9th and 10th guys are Merrill and Niang- I think they would much rather have the 3 pt skill set than a volume shooter that cant shoot---- and I am sure many other teams are in the same mind set.
