Maybe the Nets try to go after Jalen Green if they don't want Murray. Just a thought. I think he is more of a #2 or #3

8 3’s in the 1st. Hope they don’t go cold for 3 quarters lol
Definitely one of our better games this season considering opponent.

While I think it's absurd to think we are better without Garland than with it is true this offense/style not the best to maximize what Garland can do. But so what if we win games.

Yeah obviously fitting a wing into this offense for Garland would be the best fit but I would love to see this work with Garland. It seems like they are playing well with his minute restriction and getting everyone involved. How will they play when he gets 35 mins is the only question with this team at this point IMO

I know Garland is ramping up but dealing him for a more complimentary piece seems like a no brainer.

But I don't know the temperature in the room with Mitchell. Maybe that's why you keep Garland and hope it all works better
Just made a comment that speaks to this....would also add Mitchell and JB have pushed back saying the idea we are better without a player like Garland (and/or Mobley) is kooky talk. I say that realizing not like he'd rip Garland if he didn't feel that way. But it really does seem like the 2 of them like each other and enjoy playing together.

I did notice the 2 of them were also among our top 2, 4 and 5 man groupings last season. Difference, of course, is we play a different style this year. Last year, though, because of a pretty bad bench, was more of a slow pace with heavy iso and pick/roll. This year the new style just may not be the best use of Garland...or at least not a style that can get him to do what he may have done best when he had to be the top scorer. But seems like it can still work. Guessing they'd just like to stay healthy and let these guys have more time together.

If someone offers a clear, stud SF for him? OK....I'm sure we'd listen.

did pretty well last year with lesser talent around them. A lot less talent. as mentioned, my thought is maybe it minimizes what Garland can do but if we win who cares.....and so far we keep winning.

Murray and Bog for Garland?

The fit for Atlanta is atrocious though lol
agree obviously not happening for Atlanta....also don't think I'd do it. Not breaking up something that is working really well for Murray and Bog. But that's me.

Isn't to say you can get a lot for Garland (at least the SF/wing we'd want) simply because there are a ton of good PGs, not as many stud wings. Also, not often 2 teams make deals at this time where both are trying to make a run. If we were making a deal would think it would be for a team looking to shed future salary and that doesn't happen with Garland.

Would you pay him this much?

That’s what, Jarrett Allen money?

yes to being Allen money and first thought was no, but not as sure. Allen is way underpaid now I think.

Why would RTK have a single fuck to give about Carson Wentz once he left the Eagles?!?!?

That's a good question. But when Wentz got to Indy RTK was his biggest cheerleader.

Takes a lot more than just being a talented team to win a ring.
Yep, luck is a big factor in almost every championship

I was simply arguing that I hadn't seen Mitchell make any kind of complaint to want to leave

I get Cleveland isn't some awesome place to live but you spend half your time on the road and you can live wherever you want in the offseason. I imagine Donovan can swing 2 houses. I think he can squeak by
Yep...might he want to leave? I guess, but he has not said nor done anything that makes it seem like he's unhappy. Might feel different if he seemed indifferent about coming here but he genuinely seemed excited (when he heard Allen, Mobley and Garland were staying).

I do not see the Cavs making any moves. It is a deep team. It has defense, shooting, playmakers.

1. Mitchell
2. Garland
3. Allen
4. Mobley
5. Strus
6. Okoro
7. LeVert
8. Niang
9. Merrill
10. Wade

Adding the shooting has been huge- Strus doesn't have a great % but hes a threat. Merrill has been a great find and a sniper. Wade is playing better this year. Niang has done exactly what they hoped he would do.

Okoro has improved and is shooting better and playing great D. LeVert has been fairly consistent. Strus was a great add.

It will be interesting to see if this team can take the next step. They def. have the ability to get a top 4 seed--- maybe even better with the Embiid injury, some disarray in Milwaukee...
Good points though might be underselling a little.....we were on Philly's heels before Embiid went down. Obviously his injury makes it a near lock we stay ahead if we stay healthy.

Niang been in a major shooting slump but agree overall been about as expected. Strus has been better to me as more than just a shooter.
