Straight up I don’t care, it’s a bonus nothing more. Too much entitlement wanting the best of all worlds. First and foremost honor your contract. If you are fortunate to be healthy enough to get the bonus great.

I’m not sure how entitlement comes in when we are talking about what gets earned. If Tyrese Halliburton gets a max or super max it will be because he’s earned it. It won’t be something that’s handed to him. If it were something that he expected to be handed to him, then entitlement would apply. You really struggle to see things from the vantage point of the players.

I see things how they are, a max turns into a supermax when you meet certain criteria. A max contract is pretty fn good. Meet the criteria that is in the CBA and you get the supermax. It’s really that simple. This isn’t just about post season awards, don’t sign with your team to get the supermax then demand a trade either, that’s chicken shit and violates the spirit of the supermax in the first place.

I don’t disagree. Not sure what that has to do with my Halliburton comments. He hasn’t asked out. If he finishes with 61 or 62 games because of a cranky hamstring but in the eyes of voters is still worthy of All NBA those voters should have the right to compare him alongside other players for consideration. If the voters determine that another guy who played more games deserve the honor then so be it.

I see your point, I just don’t worry about arguing about things that are collectively bargained. It’s like settled law, live with it.
